Sunday, April 8th: Recapping Saturday's Tournament Action, As The Weekend Wraps Up

ICYMI: Saturday afternoon's tournament schedule started with the $130 No Limit Hold'em Survivor, where 1 in 10 entries equated to a $1,000 pay spot for the field.  Once registration closed (with 26 entries), the remaining players would be battling it out for two $1,000 prizes, and a third place of $522.  When the money was reached, there was actually a little deal made between the second and third place players, as the split those respective prizes evenly.  The exact results from the tournament are listed below:

ICYMI: The tournament schedule for Friday kicked off with the $120 No Limit Hold'em "Monster Stack," which had a $3,000 guaranteed prize pool.  The player-friendly structure attracted a total of (31) entries by registration's end, which equated to an official prize pool of $3,000.  The storyline for the afternoon was about the dominance of Rick Kalgstein (Sunrise, FL), who steamrolled through the field, and amassed a stack that almost covered his four opponents (combined) when play was five-handed.  The ICM implication were such, that the players agreed to five Rick $1,200, while the rest took $450 each.  The official results from the tournament are listed below:

Friday, April 6th: Arlene Vazquez Back In The Winner's Circle, As The Weekend Action Begins

ICYMI: Thursday's tournament schedule kicked off (at 11:00am) with a little mixed game action, as players rolled in for the $150 Limit Omaha 8B Hi/Lo ($2,500 GTD).  Compared to the numerous mixed game tournaments that came before it, yesterday's tournament saw more of an intimate field.  A total of (19) entries showed on the tournament clock, at registration's close, which equated to a $2,500 prize pool.  There would be no deal making, as action played down to an outright winner, with  Ronald Monroe (Pompano Beach, FL) besting Lazaro Rodriguez (Miami, FL) during heads-up play.  The full results from the tournament are listed below:

Thursday, April 5th: Andrew Gordon Takes Home First In The $30,000 GTD, As The Recurring Schedule Returns

ICYMI: Yesterday afternoon (11:00am) was the third and final single-ante event of the week, as the action got started for the $360 No Limit Hold'em Single-Ante ($30,000 GTD).  After ten levels of open entry, the field would eventually close with (82) entries, and an official prize pool of $30,000.  The payouts would be "bloated" a little (because of a small overlay), with a min-cash seeing a return of $840, and first place scheduled to take home $9,674.  Eleven players were scheduled to reach the money, so once the money bubble burst...and two players were eliminated, the final table would be reached.  There were a handful of recognizable names at the final table, but it would be Andrew Gordon topping a three-way deal, earning his first ever Isle Poker tournament cash.  Gordon had over $77,000 in earnings coming into the event, but were split between another property in Florida, and Las Vegas.  The $7,232 that Gordon earned in the deal was his largest score since 2016, and helps bring his career numbers north of $80,000.  The full results from the tournament are listed below:

Monday, April 2nd: Three Day Single-Ante Run Begins Today, Starting With $15,000 Afternoon Event

ICYMI: Sunday's tournament schedule began (at 11:00am) with the $120 No Limit Hold'em "Monster Stack," which ran without a guarantee (because of Easter).  Registration would close with (23) entries in the field, and an official prize pool of $2,116.  Three places were scheduled to get paid, with first place in line to walk away with $1,058.  After play reached the money, and Paul Figs was eliminated in third place, a heads up deal was agreed to (between David Felger and Joseph Conti).  Details from the tournament are listed below:

Tournaments: Monday is the first of three days of single-ante tournaments, all of which are in the 11:00am time slot.  The $175 No Limit Hold'em Single-Ante event has a $15,000 guaranteed prize pool, and the structure that players have become familiar with at the price point.  Players in the tournament sit down to starting stacks of 24,000 units, and play levels that last (20) minutes over the course of the event.  Registration is open for the first eight levels (and the break that follows), allowing players to join the action until approximately 2:00pm.  

Following the single-ante action (at 6:00pm) is a $150 No Limit Hold'em tournament, which boasts a $5,000 guarantee.  The tournament is structured with 16,000 unit starting stacks, and levels that last (20) minutes.  Registration his open for the first eight levels (and the break that follows), which means players have until just before 9:00am to join the action.

Promotions: From (9:00am-10:00am), the high hand will award $150 every (30) minutes.  The high hands will then transition from 10:00am-12:00am (midnight), with the opportunity to win $400 every (30) minutes.  During that period, the promotion sees tournament players eligible (Isle Open events not eligible for high hand) each half-hour for $100 high hands, 2/2 limit hold'em players eligible for $200 high hands, 2/4 limit hold'em players eligible for $300 high hands, and all other raked games (1/2-5/10 NLH, 4/8 Omaha 8B, 6/12 O.E., etc.) eligible for $400 high hands.  From 12:00am-9:00am, players are eligible for $100 high hands every hour.

ICYMI: The final day of March's tournament calendar kicked off at 11:00am, with a $130 No Limit Hold'em "Survivor," as 1 in every 10 players entries would walk away with $1,000.  The tournament ended up with an official field of (32) entries, which meant that three players would be scheduled to "reach the money."  Once action reached the money bubble, the four players started discussing a deal, eventually agreeing to a chop where everyone got paid.  Listed below, are the results from the event:

ICYMI: Yesterday was the first full day of recurring tournaments since the Battles At The Beach started, just over three weeks ago.  The action started at 11:00am, with the $120 No Limit Hold'em "Monster Stack," which had a $3,000 guaranteed prize pool.  After eight levels of open registration, the field would close with (40) entries, and an official prize pool of $3,680.  With only a handful of players scheduled to reach the money, players began discussing a deal after one find table elimination.  The nine-way deal was topped by Robert Lowery (Pompano Beach, FL), who earned $522 for first place money.  The rest of the results from the chop are listed below:

Friday, March 30th: Jerry Wong Wraps Up The Battles At The Beach With Second $2,500 NLH Single-Ante Title

ICYMI: The 2018 Battles At The Beach wasn't going to go out quietly, as the largest buy-in event of the series, also happened to be the final event on the schedule.  Event #18 ($2,500 No Limit Hold'em Single-Ante) got underway at 11:00am, and it was clear right away, that this was going to be a special tournament.  Not only were the big names in action, they were there early...and ready to win.  Joining the twelve players to have earned the seat through a chip lead bonus (including Event #16 champion Joshua Hillock and Jerry Wong) were names like Jake Schwartz, Sam Panzica, Joseph Couden, Loni Harwood, Richard Kirsch, Joshua Kay, Chris Bolek, and Chad Eveslage.  After ten levels of open registration, the field would close with (52) entries, which equated to a an official prize pool of $119,600.  Eight players were scheduled to get paid, with the money bubble reached just before 5:00pm.  One body at the nine-handed final table would walk away empty handed, with that player being Daryl Jace.  Jace entered the final table with over sixty big blinds, but found himself spiraling downward, eventually exiting the tournament short of the money.  Once in the money, play would continue until things were three-handed, at which point a deal was made.  With a lot of tournament and cash history together, the three players (Jerry Wong, Sam Panzica, and Joseph Couden) had an easy decision to walk away with five-figures each.  By topping the chop, Jerry Wong became the first players to ever win the $2,500 No Limit Hold'em Single-Ante twice.  The official results from Event #18 are listed below:
