Thursday, May 17th: Hal Klein Ships The "Black Chip Bounty," As The Mixed-Game Action Returns To The Recurring Schedule

ICYMI: Yesterday's tournament schedule started at 10:00am, with a $70 No Limit Hold'em Satellite into the day's headlining event, a $275 No Limit Hold'em "Black Chip Bounty" ($15,000 GTD).  The satellite ended just before play started, with four players awarded seats into the event.  Registration for the bounty tournament opened strong, with over (30) entries in Level 1, with the field continuing to grow at a slow (but steady pace).  After ten levels of open registration, the registration window would officially close, with the tournament clock showing (67) entries total.  The prize pool surpassed the posted guarantee, closing at $15,410, with $8,710 spread across seven pay spots (and $6,700 in bounties up for grabs).  The final table was reached shortly before dinner time, with the play continuing on as scheduled.  There would be no deal-making last night, as Hal Klein ended up besting Jonathan Marcu during heads up play, earning $3,223 for his efforts.  Klein, who primarily focuses on cash games, gets his first cash of 2018 (and brings his career earnings north of $175,000). ICYMI: With the popularity of the O.E. game in the poker room (Omaha 8B/Stud 8B Hi/Lo), yesterday's showing for the afternoon tournament was no surprise.  The $150 Omaha 8B/Stud 8B Hi/Lo ($2,500 GTD) event saw registration close with (29) entries, which cruised past the guarantee, with an official prize pool of $3,248.  The event would end in  deal, with poker veteran Avi Levy (Coral Springs, FL) stepping away from the cash games for a moment.  Official results from the event are posted below:

ICYMI: Wednesday's tournament action began with a $100 No Limit Hold'em event, which ended up seem very intimate field.  With no posted guarantee, a total a six entries were in the field at registration's close, equating to a prize pool of $450.  Five players remained as Level 9 started, and they decided to make a deal, which saw them getting their buy-in back.  Details of the deal are posted below:
