ICYMI: While many tournament players are focused on the WSOP Circuit events, there are still non-ring events that are running during the series as well.  Last night was the $250 No Limit Hold'em "Final Table Finish" ($20,000 GTD), which is the tournament recurring events would already be familiar with in that time slot.  The event attracted a total of (60) entries, which fell short of the number needed to reach the guarantee (and offered a small overlay for those remaining after the registration break).  As per the format, players to reach the final table would see a return on investment, with the evening's action playing down to a four-way even chop.  Official results from the tournament are listed below:

Monday, October 10th: Daniel Castro Tops Sunday's Four-Way Chop, As Three Players Walk Away With Five-Figure Scores

ICYMI: As it has been doing for months, Sunday's $400 No Limit Hold'em ($50,000 GTD) attracted an impressive field, which reached a total of (172) entries.  The $58,136 prize pool surpassed the posted guarantee, with the final nine players scheduled to see a return on investment for the evening (as per the "final table finish" format.  Action played down to a four-handed final table, at which point a chop was agreed to, with Daniel Castoro (Deerfield Beach, FL) taking home first place money ($13,933).  Official results from the tournament are listed below:

Tournaments: At 5:00pm this evening, the $250 No Limit Hold'em ($20,000 GTD)s "Final Table Finish" returns, with a little wrinkle.  This particular tournament had such a good structure, that the final table action ran into the closing time of the poker room (players are then faced with chopping, or bagging for a Day 2).  To keep that from occurring, there will be some slight changes moving forward.

The event will be structured with 25,000 chip starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and open registration through Level 8 (and the break that follows).  The new format-wrinkle comes into play when discussing payouts, as the tournament will pay out just the final table, regardless of how many entries.  Exact payout percentages are as follows (final tables are now nine-handed):
