Level 11 (Blinds 800/1,600/1,600)
Total Flight 1G Entries: 209

Andre Bryan (Miami, FL) has a lot of confidence, and for good reason, considering he's had his best tournament results this year.

Almost three-quarters of the original field now remains, as players creep closer to the final break of the afternoon.  A lap around the field yielded a new chip leader, as Andre Bryan (Miami, FL) sits with a stack just north of 220,000.  Bryan is experiencing his best year of tournament poker, and is within arms reach of $100,000 in earnings (he currently has $93,534).  His largest score of the year came in July, when he finished third in a $130 No Limit Hold'em event at Hard Rock ($19,302).

Andre Bryan - 222,000 (138bb)
Zoltan Czinkota - 195,000 (121bb)

Isle Open Event #1 (Flight 1G): Second To Last Flight Sees The Largest Field Of The Event (With One More To Go)

2018 Isle Open | Event #1
$200 No Limit Hold'em ($100,000 GTD)
Level 9 (Blinds 500/1,000/1,000)
Total Flight 1G Entries: 209
Flight 1G Players Remaining: 88

The cards are back in the air for Level 9 of Flight G with registration now officially closed.  The seventh flight of Event #1 ($200 No Limit Hold'em $100,000 GTD) closed with a total of (209) entries, of which (88) currently remain.  The official prize fund from the flight is $, bringing the overall number to $134,458.  The flight is scheduled to play through the conclusion of Level 16, or until the 10% mark (which for this flight, is eight players).

Isle Open Event #1 (Flight 1G): Devon Marshall Looks To Take Chip Lead Into Registration Break

2018 Isle Open | Event #1
$200 No Limit Hold'em ($100,000 GTD)
Level 8 (Blinds 400/800/800)
Total Flight 1G Entries: 200

Devon Marshall (Miami, FL) has been very talkative over at Table 4, and it could definitely have to do with those "chirping chips" he's got.

Play has been moving along swiftly, with the field eclipsing the (200) mark just a few moments ago.  That makes Flight 1G the largest of the seven to have been played, but even though the numbers are large, the stack sizes surprisingly aren't.  There are only two players over the 100,000 mark, one of which is Devon Marshall (Miami, FL).  Followers of the blog may remember Marshall from the $175 No Limit Hold'em "Night Owl," which was ran in August.  He was part of a seven-way chop that ended the event, and earned $4,134 for his 6th place share.  Andre Bryan is the other player to have reached (and surpassed) 100,000 units, with updated chip counts following the upcoming break.

Once players return from the break after Level 8, registration will be closed for the flight, with official numbers to follow.

Isle Open Event #1 (Flight 1G): Taking A Look At The Rest Of The 2018 Isle Open Schedule

2018 Isle Open | Event #1

Isle Open Event #1 (Flight 1G): Thomas Mucci Taking A Break From Cash, Ready To Make Another Deep Run

2018 Isle Open | Event #1
$200 No Limit Hold'em ($100,000 GTD)
Level 4 (Blinds 200/300/300)
Total Flight 1G Entries: 140

Thomas Mucci (Boca Raton, FL) doesn't play poker professionally, but he definitely puts in the hours at the table like he does.  Outside of work...and playing golf, a good amount of Mucci's focus in on poker, whether it be tournament or cash.  While a majority of his volume is cash based, Thomas has seen some recent success in tournaments, including a deep run in a recent $360 No Limit Hold'em ($100,000).  The multi was hosted here the week after Labor Day, and saw Thomas finish just short of the final table (13th Place - $1,720).

Because of Mucci's many Hendon Mob profiles (under the name Anthony, Tony, Thomas, etc..), his exact lifetime earnings aren't know, but they are definitely north of $10,000.  Mucci tops the seance list of notables in today's field, with keeps growing larger, at a very rapid pace:

Karin Powsner
Hyndi Khomutetsky
Andre Bryan
Marc Duqeutte
Gilberto Sanchez
Melissa Kaiser
Robert Left
Angelo Miele
Steven Bennett

Players will be taking their first break of the day at the end of this level, returning to Level 5, and new blinds of 200/400/400.

Isle Open Event #1 (Flight 1G): David Ward Can't Stream Live, But If It Was An Option, He'd Likely Do It

$200 No Limit Hold'em ($100,000 GTD)
Level 3 (Blinds 100/200/200)
Total Flight 1G Entries: 110

Those that are interested in the online poker play of David Ward (Miami, FL), can always follow him on https://www.twitch.tv/nolimitceltic.
David Ward (Miami, FL) has over $113,000 in lifetime (live) tournament earnings, but has recently been focusing on his online game.  Playing on the well known site ACR (America's Card Room), Ward has also taken to streaming his play online, on the popular platform Twitch.  "NoLimitCeltic," as he's called online, has shared numerous deep runs with his followers, and has seen his viewership grow during each stream.  Ward's last live cash came in April, so he's been itching to record another result, and chose today's flight to try and bag chips.

Some other notables to arrive early to Flight 1G include:

Preecha Taepakdee
Joshua Beckley
Michael Newman
Jaime Wiegrefe
Tom Gity
Craig Witz
Gary Fitzgerald
David Coughlin

$200 No Limit Hold'em ($100,000 GTD)
Level 1 (Blinds 100/100)
Total Flight 1G Entries: N/A

From right out of the gate, it was clear that Event #1 ($200 No Limit Hold'em $100,000 GTD) was going to be a special tournament.  The numbers continued to impress as each day passed, with the guaranteed eclipsed during Level 6 of last night's Flight 1F.  After (642) entries, of which (74) have bagged chips for tomorrow's Day 2, the prize pool heading into the day sits at $101,436.  If today's number are anything like yesterday's, we could be looking at a final number close to $150,000.

The first hand is about to be dealt for Flight 1G, with registration open through Level 8 (just under 4.5 hours).  The final satellite for the event runs at 2:00pm, with the $50 No Limit Hold'em Satellite Into Event #1 guaranteeing a total of (10) seats.  Those players that win seats will then be playing in the final flight of the tournament, with Flight 1H getting underway at 6:00pm.

Live coverage of today's Flight 1G will bring updates throughout the day, starting with a full list of official Day 2 chip counts (to this point), posted during Level 2.

Saturday, October 6th: With The Event #1 Prize Pool Already Over $100,000, We're Expecting Big Things Out Of Final Pair Of Opening Flights

ICYMI: Yesterday brought out the big numbers for Event #1 ($200 No Limit Hold'em $100,000 GTD) of the Isle Open...big enough to eclipse the posted guarantee!!! The third pair of opening flights for the tournament attracted a combined total of (273) entries, of which (31) players bagged chips for tomorrow's Day 2.

Flight 1E saw registration close with (150) entries, with numerous players grabbing the top spot, as the action played down to the final minutes of Level 16.  After the final hand was dealt, it would be Juan "JC" Madrid bagging the flight's chip lead (330,000).  He just bested Elliot Zaydman (320,000), as the two gained a good amount a separation from the rest of the field.

Flight 1F may have ended up with a smaller number than than it's afternoon partner (123 entries), but it ended up giving us the largest overall chip count, bagged by Wilnor Mercado (517,500).  Wilnor ended up with more than double his nearest competitor from the flight, as the second largest stack belonged to Cameron Collins (250,000).

The total numbers to this point of Event #1 have been nothing short of incredible, as the combined numbers of entries to this point, sits at (642).  The current prize pool is $101,436, with today's final pair of flights only helping that number balloon larger.

Tournaments: After six very successful flights for Event #1 of the Isle Open, we continue with the final pair of flights, and another $50 No Limit Hold'em Satellite (10 Seats) guaranteed.  The day's action begins at 11:00am, with Flight 1G of Event #1. There are six flights over the next three days, with players that bag chips returning on Sunday (at 12:00pm) for Day 2.  Each of the flights are structured with 20,000 unit starting stacks, levels that last (30) minutes, and registration that is open through Level 8 (and the break that follows).  Play is scheduled to conclude after Level 16, or when the field reaches the 10% mark, whichever happens first.

Flight 1H of Event #1 is in the 6:00pm time slot, and carries the same structure as the afternoon flight before it.  There will be live blogged coverage of Flight 1E, with the official chip counts from both flights to be posted in the early morning hours (Tuesday).

Sandwiched in between the flights (2:00pm), is the $50 No Limit Hold'em Satellite Into Event #1, which guarantees (10) seats. The satellite is structured with 8,000 unit starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and registration that lasts eight levels.

Promotions: The high hand period runs from 10:00am-12:00am (midnight), with the opportunity to win $400 every (30) minutes.  During that period, the promotion sees tournament players eligible each half-hour for $100 high hands, 2/2 limit hold'em players eligible for $200 high hands, 2/4 limit hold'em players eligible for $300 high hands, and all other raked games (1/2-5/10 NLH, 4/8 Omaha 8B, 6/12 O.E., etc.) eligible for $400 high hands.  From 12:00am-9:00am, players are eligible for $100 high hands every hour.

It should also be noted that players are able to win the high hand using only one card in their hand.  The payouts for those that use one card are different than the standard numbers listed above, and can be found (full listing of one-card payouts on flyers in the poker room).

In addition to the "standard" high hands, from 6:00pm through 12:00am, players are eligible for the "Super High Hands."
