Sunday, February 19th: Event 1 Plays Down To A Winner, Event 2 Offers "Second Chance"

Event 1 of the 2017 Battles At The Beaches attracted a total of (1,301) total entries, amassing a massive prize pool of $175,635.  Yesterday's final two flights drew field sizes nobody could have predicted, with Flight 1G officially ending up with (209) entries, and (318) in Flight 1H.  There were two questions to be answered from each of the flights...how many players are going to find Day 2 bags, and who will be bagging the chip lead bonus.  Flight 1G saw a total of (39) players bag chips for Day 2, with Michelle Shah (337,000) earning the $1,500 BATB Main Event seat.  There were (48) players to bag chips for Day 2 from Flight 1H, with Sergio Teslenko (389,500) bagging the flight's chip lead.

A combined total of (191) players will be returning at 12:00pm for Day 2, with (130) places making the money in this opening event.  Every player has their eyes on the top Event 1 prize, which sees the eventual winner walking away with $34,770.  "Live blogged" coverage begins the moment the cards are in the air (12:00pm), and will be available through the tournament's conclusion.

The Battles At The Beach continues this evening with Event 2 ($100 No Limit Hold'em Deep Stack Turbo Bounty $5,000 GTD), which begins at 6:00pm,

12:00pm - Event 1 (Battles At The Beach) $175 No Limit Hold'em $125,000 Guarantee (Day 2)

6:00pm - Event 2 (Battles At The Beach) $100 No Limit Hold'em "Deep Stack Turbo Bounty" w/ $25 Bounties

- Players will start with 18,000 in tournament chips
- Late and re-entries for the first (10) levels
- Alternates and late entries will start with a full stack
- Optional player add-on at the end of Level 10.  $25 for 10,000 units, with 100% going towards the prize pool.
- Levels are (15) minutes in length
- Bounties are included in the guarantee
