The evening tournament stole the spotlight though, as (317) entries made up the "Tuesday $12k" ($60 No Limit Hold'em $12,000 GTD). After all of the optional add-ons were tallied into the number, the official prize pool number was $15,914 (almost $4,000 over the guarantee). The posted first place prize was $3,458, with a min-cash in the tournament earning players $85. Thomas Millward (Boca Raton, FL) ended up being the first player to cash in the event (40th Place - $85), and would be followed in the payouts by numerous Isle Poker notables...Hector Caraballo (35th Place - $102), Danilo Parada (26th Place - $120), Hugh Hardy (18th Place - $207), Pedro Palacio (13th Place - $247), and Richard Blume (11th Place - $291).
There would be no full-final table chop in this tournament, as action continued down to four-handed play, at which point players agreed to a deal. It was an even chop between the four players, with each walking away with $2,108 (Robert Perniola, Michael Watkins, Jack Searcy, Adel Jo). It would be Adel Jo's second deep run of the day, falling just one spot short of two "winning" chops. Adel would earn over $2,700 over the course of (14) hours of poker, and will likely be taking the day off the evening. Posted below are the results from the final table:
- Robert Perniola (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $2,108
- Michael Watkins (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $2,108
- Jack Searcy (Delray Beach, FL) $2,108
- Adel Jo (Miami, FL) $2,108
- Glen Canelstein (Coconut Creek, FL) $763
- Jorge Mederos (Miami, FL) $632
- Pete Odiot (Hollywood, FL) $531
- Angelo Castaldi (Plantation, FL) $436
- Domenico Barilla (Deerfield Beach, FL) $346
- Ian Bishop (Boynton Beach, FL) $291
Tournaments: With the "Spin To Win" high hand promotion garnering much of the attention this afternoon, there is only one tournament on the schedule tonight ($100 No Limit Hold'em "Big Stack Turbo Bounty" w/ $25 Bounties $5,000 GTD). Last week's installment of the event had (51) total entries, and played down to an outright winner, with Danilo Parada (Oakland Park, FL) hoisting the proverbial "trophy." ($1,417).
Promotions: The high hand promotions are in full swing from the moment the doors open this morning, with the "Turbo High Hands" ($100 awarded every 10 minutes from 9:00am-12:00pm, with rollovers) distributing money at a rapid pace. The transition at 12:00pm begins the "Spin To Win" promotion, which awarded over $15,000 in promotional prize money last week (over a span of eleven hours). It's the high hand promotion that makes all others jealous, and affords those that have a qualifying high hand (awarded every 30 minutes), an opportunity to spin the ever-popular "Money Wheel." The total amount awarded...along with hourly breakdown, will be published tomorrow afternoon, here on the blog.
