Wednesday, June 14th: It's A Full Day Of Action, "Turbo High Hands" And "Spin To Win" Highlight Schedule

ICYMI: Yesterday's tournament action began at 11:00am, with the $100 No Limit Hold'em "Monster Stack ($3,000 GTD).  The tournament field was comprised of (41) entries, which created a prize pool of $3,157.  There were seven spots scheduled to get paid, and right after the first of those seven payouts was awarded (to Brian Haines), the remaining six players agreed to a chop.  Ira Horowitz (Miami, FL) was awarded first place money, walking away with $684 for his efforts.

For the first time ever, the $75 No Limit Hold'em tournament was placed in the Tuesday evening slot, and attracted a nice sized field for the event.  There were (34) total entries in the tournament, which equated to a $1,768 prize pool.  Five pay spots were scheduled to be paid, with a min-cash worth $141, and $726 up top.  Action continued once play reached the money, with the discussion of chop put on hold until players were heads-up.  Anthony Albano (Deerfield Beach, FL) and Scott Greenberg (Delray Beach, FL) agreed to a deal, with Albano the "declared winner," earning himself $626.

Tournaments: There are two tournaments on the today's tournament schedule, both of which are eligible for the "Spin To Win" high hand promotion.  The first event gets underway at 11:00am, and is a mirror of the popular $100 No Limit Hold'em "Monster Stack" ($3,000 GTD) tournament.  This structure has been well received with the players, as they sit with a 25,000 unit starting stack, and play (20) minute levels throughout the day.  The evening event is better known as the "Tuesday or Thursday $10k," but has now found a home on Wednesday night's.  The tournament surpasses the guarantee each and every time it's run, with an average of (250) entries making up the fields.  The starting stack for the tournament is 12,000 units, with the levels lasting (20) minutes over the course of the night.

Promotions: The high hand promotions are in full swing from the moment the doors open this morning, with the "Turbo High Hands" ($100 awarded every 10 minutes from 9:00am-12:00pm, with rollovers) distributing money at a rapid pace.  The transition at 12:00pm begins the "Spin To Win" promotion, which awarded over $11,000 in promotional prize money last week (over a span of eleven hours).  It's the high hand promotion that makes all others jealous, and affords those that have a qualifying high hand (awarded every 30 minutes), an opportunity to spin the ever-popular "Money Wheel."  The total amount awarded...along with hourly breakdown, will be published tomorrow afternoon, here on the blog.
