The evening tournament (6:00pm) was the $130 No Limit Hold'em ($20,000 GTD), which attracts Isle Casino poker regulars and "value hunters" alike. This event has cruised past the guarantee each and every time it has been run, with last night being no different. There were (228) entries in the field, which made up the official prize pool of $22,116. A total of (29) spots were scheduled to reach the money, with a min-cash in the event worth $153, and first place looking to take home $5,210. Some notables to cash, but fall short of the final table, were Jean Chery, Daniel Miller, Tom Gity, Robert Urspruch, and Markus Petteway. The final table was reached just after midnight, and after five eliminations, the handful of players left began discussing a deal. The agreement followed just a few moments later, with Edward Rappa (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) earning first place money, worth $3,585.

Tournaments: There are two tournaments on the today's tournament schedule, both of which are eligible for the "Spin To Win" high hand promotion. The first event gets underway at 11:00am, and is a mirror of the popular $100 No Limit Hold'em "Monster Stack" ($3,000 GTD) tournament. This structure has been well received with the players, as they sit with a 25,000 unit starting stack, and play (20) minute levels throughout the day. The evening event is better known as the "Tuesday or Thursday $10k," but has now found a home on Wednesday night's. The tournament surpasses the guarantee each and every time it's run, with an average of (250) entries making up the fields. The starting stack for the tournament is 12,000 units, with the levels lasting (20) minutes over the course of the night.
Promotions: The high hand promotions are in full swing from the moment the doors open this morning, with the "Turbo High Hands" ($100 awarded every 10 minutes from 9:00am-12:00pm, with rollovers) distributing money at a rapid pace. The transition at 12:00pm begins the "Spin To Win" promotion, which awarded over $11,000 in promotional prize money last week (over a span of eleven hours). It's the high hand promotion that makes all others jealous, and affords those that have a qualifying high hand (awarded every 30 minutes), an opportunity to spin the ever-popular "Money Wheel." The total amount awarded...along with hourly breakdown, will be published tomorrow afternoon, here on the blog.
