The early chip lead in any tournament can turn out to be a blessing or a course, and for Rosanna De La Rosa, it's looking like the former. Action was approached at Table 9 as a hand was finishing up between Rosanna and Eric Piderit. De La Rosa held A♠ 3♣ against Piderit's 2♦ 3♠ on a board of 3♥ 3♦ Q♦ 7♠ K♣, with all of the chips getting in on the turn. Piderit sent his 40,000 chip stack De La Rosa's way, and wished his table mates good luck as he exited the tournament area.
Rosanna is now the first player to eclipse the century mark, and sits with 116,000.
