Wednesday, July 12th: Boyadjian Earns Event #5 Trophy, Five Main Event Seats Awarded, FSPC Rolls On

ICYMI: After such a successful day of tournaments on Monday, many wondered what would follow with yesterday afternoon's Event #5 ($120 No Limit Hold'em $15,000 GTD).  It would be clear, only a handful of levels into the tournament, that the trend of eclipsed guarantees would continue.  The Event #5 field was comprised of (149) entries, and after the optional "add-ons" were collected amongst the remaining players at the end of Level 8, the prize pool would end up at $16,740.  A total of (19) players would reach the money in the event, with a min-cash worth $251, and $4,621 up top.  Stacy Thomas, Bruce Snell, and Luis Stadler were some Isle Poker notables to cash, but fall short of the final table.  Final table play would pause after the elimination of Victor Nassif (Davie, FL), as the remaining nine players discussed (and then agreed to) a deal that would end the tournament.

  1. Georges Boyadjian (Tamarac, FL) $1,865
  2. Danit Dayan (Sunrise, FL) $1,845
  3. Joseph Duchman (Miami, FL) $1,725
  4. Gary Bodley (West Palm Beach, FL) $1,667
  5. Nataliya Allard (Houston, TX) $1,450
  6. Dai Lam (Margate, FL) $1,320
  7. Carlos Nieto (Miami, FL) $1,266
  8. Brian Gelrod (Wellington, FL) $1,240
  9. Gregory Heller (Ft. Pierce, FL) $997
The evening event was a $75 No Limit Hold'em satellite into the FSPC Main Event ($1,500 NLH), which attracted (153) entries, and offered up (6) seats (and cash for sixth place).  The following players booked their tickets into the most prestigious event of the series:
  1. Frank Traino
  2. Juan Peralta
  3. Luminita Petric
  4. James Hamburger
  5. Daniel Miller
  6. Francisco Castil
  7. Kevin McGillicuddy ($795)
Tournaments: There are two tournaments on the FSPC schedule today, the first of which is a satellite into Event #7 ($360 No Limit Hold'em - $200,000 GTD).  The $60 buy-in event has a structure with 10,000 starting stacks, (20) minute levels throughout, and offers (10) guaranteed seats into the tournament (which begins tomorrow and runs through Sunday).  The evening tournament is another trophy event, with Event #6 ($100 No Limit Hold'em "Deep Stack Turbo Bounty" $18,000 GTD) beginning at 6:00pm.  The tournament structure has players sitting down to 18,000 starting stack, playing levels of (15) minutes throughout, and offers an optional "add-on" at the end of Level 10.

Promotions: One would think that after a weekend full of "special" high hand promotions, things would maybe take a "day off."  That "day off" isn't today though, as the "Turbo High Hands" award $100 every (10) minutes from 9:00am-12:00pm...followed by the ever-popular money wheel, and the "Spin To Win" promotion from 12:00pm-11:00pm.  Last week saw one lucky player earn the $5,000 jackpot, so it will be interesting to see what this week follows up with.
