Friday, September 15th: Setting The Tone For The Weekend Poker Action

ICYMI: Yesterday's $100 No Limit Hold'em "Big Stack Turbo Bounty" attracted a total of (44) entries, and after the option add-ons were included into the numbers, the prize pool closed at $2,393 (with an addition bounty pool of $1,100).  Five players were scheduled to reach the money, with the posted first place prize winner to take home $934.  Action was paused on the money bubble though, as players agreed to a deal, which included a sixth place finisher earning money.

  1. Jose Tacher (Sunny Isles, FL) $622
  2. Kenwrick Edmond (Boca Raton, FL) $525
  3. Robert Kuznietz (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $484
  4. Michael Mundy (Boca Raton, FL) $335
  5. Dean Arahovites (Margate, FL) $283
  6. Patricia Conrad (Delray Beach, FL) $144

Tournaments: Today's tournament action begins with the $75 No Limit Hold'em event, which sees the cards in the air at 6:00pm.  Players in the tournament will be sitting down to starting stacks of 15,000 units, and playing levels that last (20) minutes throughout the night.  There is also an optional add-on at the end of registration (after Level 8), with $20 getting players in the event a total of 10,000 units.

Promotions: From the moment the doors to the poker room open, the "bonus" high hands are in effect.  Things start with the "Turbo High Hands," with $100 awarded to the qualifying high hand every (10) minutes.  With less tables in the morning hours, we usually see rollovers on a consistent basis, some of which get as high as $600-$700.  The ten minute high hands run from 9:00am-12:00pm, and then transition to a different promotion.

Things are still "turbo-ish," with $250 high hands awarded every (20) minutes, from the hours of 12:00pm-4:00pm.  The promotion only gets richer after that, as one last transition sees $500 awarded every (20) minutes, from the hours of 4:00pm-12:00am.

6:00pm - $75 No Limit Hold'em

- Players will begin with a 15,000 starting stack
- Late and re-entries for the first (8) levels
- Alternates and late entries will receive full stacks
- Levels are (20) minutes in length throughout
- Optional player "add-on" at the end of Level 8 ($20 for 10,000 tournament chips), with 100% of the "add-on" going to the prize pool
