Isle Open Championship (Day 1A): Meacham Busts Joshua Kay, Continues To Climb

2017 Isle Open | Event #21
$1,500 No Limit Hold'em Isle Open Championship| $500,000 GTD
Level 9 (Blinds 500/1,000/100)
Total Day 1A Entries: 90

The action at Table 6 was picked up just as Joshua Kay was three-betting an open from Jeremy Meacham.  Jeremy had opened to 2,300, with Kay three-betting to 7,100, and Meacham then making the call.  The two would watch the dealer fan out a flop of J 4 3♣, with Kay leading for 5,500.  Jeremy then raised to 12,500, with Kay three-bet shoving for 33,300.  After getting an exact count, Meacham would make the call, and was ahead with A♣ J♣ against Kay's 1010♣.  The turn (5) and river (Q♠) were no help to Kay, who collected his things, and exited the table.

Meacham's count climbs to 150,000 with that pot, and puts him second in chips, behind only Joshua Lowing.

Jeremy Meacham - 150,000 (150bb)
