The numbers from yesterday bring the combined total for Event #1 to (184) entries, with (51) players returning at 12:00pm (this afternoon) for Day 2. The current prize pool is at $248,400, which is just over $50,000 short of the posted guarantee. The word "current" is used, because registration is still open until the first card is pitched this afternoon. Players buying in this afternoon would be sitting down to just under thirteen big blinds, and would sit down with more chips than six of the returning Day 2 players.
There will be no live Day 2 coverage this afternoon, but once the numbers have been made official, the payouts from the tournament will be listed here on the blog. Official results will also be listed once the money is reached, so followers of the blog can check back sporadically throughout the day.
Tournaments: As mentioned above, players will be returning at 12:00pm for Day 2 of Event #1. Registration is open for players interested, as long as they enter the field before the first card is pitched. Levels for Day 2 transition to (50) minutes, and will stay that way until the final table is reached. Once the redraw is completed, and action begins at the final table, the next level will be (60) minutes (and stay that way until the event's conclusion). The structure may call for a Day 3, which is tentatively scheduled for tomorrow afternoon (Monday).
Event #3 of the Isle Classic begins at 6:00pm, and is a $100 No Limit Hold'em Deep Stack Turbo Bounty, which boasts a $5,000 guaranteed prize pool. The event is structured with 18,000 unit starting stacks, and levels that last (15) minutes throughout. There is an optional add-on at the end of Level 10, seeing a return of 10,000 units for $25 (with 100% of the add-on money going towards the prize pool).
Promotions: From (9:00am-10:00am), the high hand will award $150 every (30) minutes. The high hands will then transition from 10:00am-12:00am (midnight), with the opportunity to win $400 every (30) minutes. During that period, the promotion sees tournament players eligible (Isle Open events not eligible for high hand) each half-hour for $100 high hands, 2/2 limit hold'em players eligible for $200 high hands, 2/4 limit hold'em players eligible for $300 high hands, and all other raked games (1/2-5/10 NLH, 4/8 Omaha 8B, 6/12 O.E., etc.) eligible for $400 high hands. From 12:00am-9:00am, players are eligible for $100 high hands every hour.
It should also be noted that started back on November 1st, players are able to win the high hand using only one card in their hand!!! The payouts for those that use one card are different than the standard numbers listed above, and can be found (full listing of one-card payouts on flyers in the poker room).
