Mark Salerno was looking to continue his upward trend since buying in last minute, but just saw some resistance from Danny Nucci. Salerno opened from earlier position, and watched as players would fold around to Nucci, who was in the big bling. Nucci three-bet shoved for 33,000, leaving Salerno to make a decision for close to half of his stack. Mark took a good amount of time in the tank, and eventually made the call, dropping the chips on the felt. "This is the real bingo one," Salerno said, as he waited to see what Nucci was going to turn up.
Unfortunately for Salerno, his Q♦ J♠ was dominated by Nucci's A♥ Q♠, and he'd be unable to find a runout that would change that. Danny ended up doubling up to over 70,000, while Salerno is back down to just two starting stacks (30,000).
