Jose Parra (Hialeah Gardens, FL) took the verbal jabs in stride, but eventually decided to counterpunch, after comments wouldn't cease.

Just as we started the lap to collect chip counts, a hand was unfolding at Table 3, between Tom Gity and Jose Parra.  Both players were already towards the top of the chip counts, and would see a flop of 10♠ J♣ 2.  Gity would bet 9,000, which was called by Parra, with the dealer then following with the 9♣ on the turn.  Gity continued his aggressive line, tossing forward a bet of 18,000, which was once again called by Parra.  After the dealer paired the board on the river (with the 10♣), Gity asked to see how much Jose had left (Tom had Jose covered).  Tom announced that he was all-in, which got Parra out of his seat, but didn't end up deterring him.  Parra made the call, and quickly turned over Q 10 (having made three tens of the river).

Tom tossed his cards in frustration, with the dealer tabling his hand, since it was an all-in and call situation (Q♠ J♠).  "That was the only card that could help you," Gity said aloud, "how do you consistently get so lucky?"  The verbal jabs continued between both players, until Gity was eliminated, just two hands later.

Jose Parra - 200,000 (200bb)
