Luis Padilla had been winning a lot of pots before showdown, but happened to have the goods when he saw some resistance from Michael Tufaro.

There is another Padilla in the field doing well...and it's not David.  Luis Padilla had been using some timely aggression to take down pots without showdown (in Level 10), but took a different route when we were watching a recent hand at Table 9.  After Michael Tufaro limped from late position, and the small blind completed, Padilla raised to 2,500 out of the big blind.  Both players called, and the three would see a flop of K♠ 10♣ 10.  Action would check around, with both the small blind and Padilla checking once again, after the 8 on the turn.  Tufaro took the opportunity to try and win the pot with a bet of 4,400, but was called by Padilla.  The river paired the board with the 8, and Luis would check-call Tufaro yet again, this time after Michael bet 8,500.  Michael shook his head to signify he didn't have much, with Padilla rolling over A♠ A♣.  He took the safe route with the pocket aces, but also may have gotten some chips he wouldn't have, had he bet out on the river.

Luis Padilla - 120,000 (100bb)
