Thursday, June 14th: Mixed Game Action Returns To The Schedule, Along With An Evening $5,000 GTD

ICYMI: Wednesday tournament schedule kicked off with a $100 No Limit Hold'em event, which carried a $3,000 guaranteed prize pool.  The official field of (32) entries would equate to a prize pool directly on the number ($3,000), which was spread across four pay spots.  Once the money bubble burst, and after the elimination of Edgard Mendes (Deerfield Beach, FL), the final three players would agree to a deal.  Mary Schuehler (Delray Beach, FL) would be declared the event's winner, walking away with $980 from the chop.  Full results from the tournament are listed below:
  1. Mary Schneller (Delray Beach, FL) $980
  2. Joseph Rozek (Boynton Beach, FL) $920
  3. Joseph Mancuso (Deerfield Beach, FL) $770
  4. Edgard Mendes (Deerfield Beach, FL) $330
The evening tournament was a bit of a "throwback," as the $60 No Limit Hold'em tournament returned to the schedule, this time boasting a $1,500 guaranteed prize pool.  That number would be surpassed very early, and once the registration period was closed, there would be (53) entries in the field.  The $2,385 prize pool was spread across seven pay spots, with action playing down to the point where things were heads-up.  Fabio Perales (Sunrise, FL) and Louis Calabrese (Pompano Beach, FL) then made a deal, with both seeing a nice return on their $60 investment.  Official results from the tournament are listed below:
  1. Fabio Perales (Sunrise, FL) $754
  2. Louis Calabrese (Pompano Beach, FL) $653
  3. Kevin Montagna (Lauderhill, FL) $322
  4. Arlene Vazquez (Parkland, FL) $227
  5. Robert Kuznietz (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $179
  6. Roberto Desogos (Pompano Beach, FL) $143
  7. Ronnie Shuman (Trenton, NJ) $107
Tournaments: The lovers of the non-no limit hold'em action will be entering the poker room at 11:00am, as the $150 Omaha 8B/Stud 8B Hi/Lo ($2,500 GTD) gets underway.  The tournament is structured with starting stacks of 12,000 units, and levels that last (20) minutes.  Registration for the event is open through Level 8, and the break that follows.

No limit returns at 6:00pm, with a $150 No Limit Hold'em "Double Green Chip Bounty."  This tournament was phased from the schedule years back, but is now making it's triumphant return.  Players in the event will be sitting down to starting stacks of 16,000 units, and playing levels that last (20) minutes.  There is a $50 bounty for every player elimination, just adding to the potential return for deep runs.

Promotions: From (9:00am-10:00am), the high hand will award $150 every (30) minutes.  The high hands will then transition from 10:00am-12:00am (midnight), with the opportunity to win $400 every (30) minutes.  During that period, the promotion sees tournament players eligible (Isle Open events not eligible for high hand) each half-hour for $100 high hands, 2/2 limit hold'em players eligible for $200 high hands, 2/4 limit hold'em players eligible for $300 high hands, and all other raked games (1/2-5/10 NLH, 4/8 Omaha 8B, 6/12 O.E., etc.) eligible for $400 high hands.  From 12:00am-9:00am, players are eligible for $100 high hands every hour.

It should also be noted, that players are able to win the high hand using only one card in their hand.  The payouts for those that use one card are different than the standard numbers listed above, and can be found (full listing of one-card payouts on flyers in the poker room).
