Event #8 | $1,100 No Limit Hold'em ($250,000 GTD)
Level 1 (Blinds 100/100)
Total Flight 1B Entries: N/A
Yesterday was the opening flight for Event #8 ($1,100 No Limit Hold'em Main Event $250,000 GTD) of the Card Player Poker Tour, which set the tone for things to come. We saw a lot of big names take their seats over the course of the afternoon/evening, with a total of (50) entries showing on the clock, at the flight's end. Tournament regular and Isle Casino Poker "legend" Tom Gity bagged the overall chip lead, heading to Sunday's Day 2 with 223,000. After taking two really rough beats at the hands of Albert Destrade, Raminder Singh was able to spin up his stack, packing away the second largest stacks at flight's end (219,000). Those two hands against Raminder helped Destrade round out the top three Flight 1A stacks, as he bagged 191,000.
A new group of players started taking their seats just a few minutes ago, ready to hand around for the long haul, as the bagging process will begin about ten hours from now. The structure stays the same this afternoon, as players sit down to starting stacks of 30,000 units, and Level 1-13 lasting (30) minutes (Day 1 play ends after Level 13).
Official chip counts from Flight 1A will be posted shortly, before we hand off Flight 1B coverage to Julio Rodriguez, of Card Player Media.
