Isle Open Event #11 (Day 1A): Moret-Rojas Returns To The Felt, Just Days After Shipping The Event #6 Trophy

2018 Isle Open | Event #11
$1,500 No Limit Hold'em Main Event  ($300,000 GTD)
Level 3 (Blinds 100/200/200)
Total Event #11 Entries: 38

Rodney Moret-Rojas (Troy, MI) got his hands on an Isle Open trophy just five days ago, and is in today's Day 1A field, looking to repeat the feat.

Players just returned from their first break of the day, and are now posting blinds of 100/200/200 in Level 3.  One of the most recent entries, also happens to be one of our newest Isle Open champions, as Rodney Moret-Rojas (Troy, MI) joined the action during Level 2.  Moret-Rojas was part of a group of four players to chop Event #6 ($360 No Limit Hold'em), with Rodney earning first place money and the trophy ($25,711).  The score was the second largest of Rodney's career, and helped him bring his career earnings north of $80,000.  This has been a landmark year for Moret-Rojas, who won his first WSOP Circuit ring earlier in February, taking down Event #7 ($3605 No Limit Hold'em "Monster Stack") of the series ($34,704).

After a 2017 in which he earned $8,723 in tournament cashes (his first year on the scene), Rodney is just a small result away from eclipsing $100,000 in earnings this year (he currently has $97,985).
