Isle Open Event #6 (Flight 1G): Lots Of New Faces Making Their "Late Arrivals"

2018 Isle Open | Event #6
$360 No Limit Hold'em ($100,000 GTD)
Level 3 (Blinds 100/200/200)
Total Flight 1G Entries: 70

Now a month removed from his career highlighting score (SHRPO Event #1), Andre Rakusa (Coral Gables, FL) is looking to add another Isle Poker trophy to his mantle.

Flight 1G has a pace of entry that we haven't seen in the recent afternoon flights, with the total number in the field already eclipsing (70).  A lap around the field saw a handful of "new" faces to this particular event, joining the action before their opportunity to bag chips ran out.  Andre Rukasa (Coral Gables, FL) is a player we haven't seen as much as usual, but it's likely because of his recent score.  Andre reached the final table of the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open opening event ($570 No Limit Hold'em), finishing in 4th place, and earning $94,601.  It's very common to see a dip in tournament volume after a sizable score like Rakusa's, with Andre cashing in just one event since that five-figure finish (a 30th place finish in a $565 No Limit Hold'em event at Tampa Hard Rock).  With the over $111,000 in tournament earnings from this year alone, Andre has now eclipsed $264,000 in lifetime earnings, and is looking to add to that number.  Rakusa has one Isle Poker title to his name, winning an event during the 2018 Isle Open (Event #9).

Other players were are seeing for the first time this week include:

Andre Bryan
Eric Kolodny
Nancy Birnbaum
Nissim Gozlan
David Ward
Hector Pacheco
Raymond Rickard
