Friday, November 9th: Sandy Sanchez Tops H.O.R.S.E. Event, As $1,500 No Limit Hold'em Tournament Headlines Friday's Schedule

ICYMI: There were two events on yesterday's schedule, only one of which had results that are going to be published.  The $150 H.O.R.S.E. event kicked off at 11:00am, and attracted a field of (15) entries.  The $2,000 prize pool was scheduled to be paid out across two spots, but the payouts ended up getting altered, in a three-way deal.  The official results of the chop are listed below:
  1. Sandy Sanchez (Parkland, FL) $871
  2. Lazaro Rodriguez (Kendall, FL) $732
  3. Timothy Patrus (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $397
Tournaments: There are three events on Friday's schedule, one of which is a satellite, along with two standard tournaments.  First on the schedule, is a $175 No Limit Hold'em satellite into the $1,500 No Limit Hold'em event, which is scheduled to begin at 1:00pm.  The satellite is structured with 25,000 unit starting stacks, levels that last (15) minutes, and registration that is open through Level 10.  In the satellite, one in every ten entries will earn a seat into the afternoon event ($1,500 No Limit Hold'em).

The headlining event of the day then begins at 1:00pm, and is a $1,500 No Limit Hold'em tournament.  The event is structured with 50,000 unit starting stacks, levels that are (30) minutes in length, and registration that's open through Level 10. This is one of the best structured events offered on the recurring schedule, as it carries a "major-like" feel, and will also be done in one day.

The final tournament of the day is a $130 No Limit Hold'em event, which gets underway at 6:00pm.  The players in the event will be sitting down to starting stacks of 20,000 units, and playing (20) minute levels over the course of the evening.  Registration is open through Level 8, and the ten minute break that follows.

Promotions: The high hands will run from 9:00am-12:00am, with the opportunity to win $400 every (30) minutes.  During that period, the promotion sees tournament players eligible each half-hour for $100 high hands, 2/2 limit hold'em players eligible for $200 high hands, 2/4 limit hold'em players eligible for $300 high hands, and all other raked games (1/2-5/10 NLH, 4/8 Omaha 8B, 6/12 O.E., etc.) eligible for $400 high hands.

It should also be noted that players are able to win the high hand using only one card in their hand.  The payouts for those that use one card are different than the standard numbers listed above, and can be found (full listing of one-card payouts on flyers in the poker room).

From 12:00am-9:00am (Friday into Saturday), the high hand will be awarded $100 every (60) minutes.
