2018 was a special year for Pedro Palacio (Coconut Creek, FL), as he earned a career-best $131,891 over the past twelve months.

With the changing of the calendar year, everyone's tournament stats start fresh, and players look to build on what they've accomplished to that point.  If Pedro Palacio (Coconut Creek, FL) wants to best his results from last year, he's going to need to do something special in 2019.  The past twelve months were the best of Pedro's career (statistically), with over $131,000 in tournament earnings in 2018.  Much of the success was attributed to his final table run in the $3,500 No Limit Hold'em Championship Event, in which he finished in 8th place (for $86,740).  Pedro was lucky enough to earn entry into that event, via the tournament leaderboard at Coconut Creek.  Palacio parlayed that seat into a career best tournament score, and rode the hot hand for the rest of the year.

Pedro did a lot of traveling after the score, and actually took some time off from poker, focusing on his family (and non-poker interests).  He's looking to start off strong this year, with a Day 2 bag helping that case.  Palacio was one of the first notables spotted in today's Flight 1C field, joining the likes of:
