Thursday, February 28th: Another Month Of Poker Wraps Up, With A Big One Coming Up In March

ICYMI: Wednesday's tournament slate kicked off with the $130 No Limit Hold'em "Survivor," which has quickly become one of the most popular recurring tournaments.  Yesterday's installment saw registration close with (28) entries in the field, and an official prize pool of $2,800.  That number meant that three players were scheduled reach the money, with two $1,000 spots to be awarded, and a third place spot scheduled to walk away with $800.  Those payouts were eventually altered, as the event ended in a five-way deal, with the official results listed below:

Following the "Survivor" (at 6:00pm), was an $80 No Limit Hold'em event, which boasted a guarantee of $1,500.  The tournament's field close with a total of (28) entries, and after the optional add-ons were included to the prize pool, it officially closed at $1,920.  The event ended in a heads-up chop (basically even) between Gail Lutin and Marquis Grant, with the official results listed below:

Tournaments: Two "staple" tournaments of the recurring schedule highlight Thursday's schedule, beginning at 11:00am, with the $130 No Limit Hold'em "Monster Stack" ($1,500 GTD).  The player-friendly event is structured with 25,000 unit starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and registration that is open through Level 8.  This tournament has a history of attracted nice sized fields, with today's installment expected nothing less.

The "Monster Stack" is followed at 6:00pm, by a $130 No Limit Hold'em "Green Chip Bounty" ($1,000 GTD) event.  It should be noted, that this tournament is not the "turbo bounty" that runs on Sunday's, as players get extended levels of (20) minutes (along with the 20,000 unit starting stacks).  Registration is also open through Level 8, not the ten levels that the turbo allows.

Promotions: The high hands will run from 9:00am-12:00am, with the opportunity to win $400 every (30) minutes.  During that period, the promotion sees tournament players eligible each half-hour for $100 high hands, 2/2 limit hold'em players eligible for $200 high hands, 2/4 limit hold'em players eligible for $300 high hands, and all other raked games (1/2-5/10 NLH, 4/8 Omaha 8B, 6/12 O.E., etc.) eligible for $400 high hands.  

It should also be noted that players are able to win the high hand using only one card in their hand.  The payouts for those that use one card are different than the standard numbers listed above, and can be found (full listing of one-card payouts on flyers in the poker room).

From 12:00am-3:00am, the high hand will be awarded $100 every (60) minutes.
