Friday, October 25th: A Busy Weekend Begins...With $500 High Hands This Evening (6:00PM-Midnight)!!

ICYMI: Thursday's tournament schedule began at 11:00am, with a $120 Omaha 8B Hi/Lo event, which boasted a $2,000 guaranteed prize pool.  After eight levels of open registration, the tournament's field closed with (20) entries, and an official prize pool of $2,000.  Three players were scheduled to reach the money, with action playing down to an outright winner.  Just a few weeks after winning Event #2 of the Isle Open ($250 Omaha 8B Hi/Lo), Michael Boykin found himself in the winner's circle once again.  Official details from the tournament are listed below:
  1. Michael Boykin (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $1,000
  2. Arnold Cohen (West Palm Beach, FL) $600
  3. Robert Altner (Boca Raton, FL) $400
Last night's 6:00pm time slot hosted $100 No Limit Hold'em "Green Chip Bounty" event, which also had a $2,000 guarantee.  Registration for the tournament would close with (21) entries, and an official prize pool of $1,475 (not including bounties).  Three players were scheduled to reach the money, but players ended up agreeing to a four-way deal (on the money bubble).  Details of the chop are listed below:
  1. Dustin Clark (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $406
  2. Chien Chui (Lighthouse Point, FL) $396
  3. Patrick Chin (Coral Springs, FL) $340
  4. Marianne Dewitt (Lauderdale Lakes, FL) $333
Tournaments: Today's tournament schedule is a slight bit different than usual, as there is only one event on the schedule.  At 6:00pm, we see the $75 No Limit Hold'em "Survivor" ($1,000 GTD), which was super successful in the past (in the Friday afternoon time slot).  The tournament guarantees two $500 winners, but don't be surprised if a third (or even fourth) spot ends up getting paid out.  The tournament is structured with 16,000 unit starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and registration that is open through Level 8.

Promotions: The "standard" high hands will be awarding $300 every (30) minutes (from 9:00am-6:00pm).  Every jackpot game is eligible for the same amount, with the full $150 being rewarded to those that use one card to make the high hand.  For those players in tournaments, high hands are worth $100.

At 6:00pm, the high hands get a little "October boost," as they transition to $500 every (30) minutes.  Players that make the high hand with one card during that period, will be awarded a $250 prize.

From 12:00am-9:00am, the high hand will be awarded $100 every (60) minutes.

6:00pm - $75 No Limit Hold'em "Survivor" ($1,000 GTD)

- Players start with 16,000 in tournament chips
- Late and re-entries for the first (8) levels
