After six completed flights, the $200 No Limit Hold'em ($100,000 GTD) has attracted a total of (491) entries (of which 86 have bagged chips for Day 2). The current prize pool sits at $78,560, with just (134) entries needed to each the guarantee (which should be eclipsed during today's afternoon flight).
Tournaments: Today's schedule is highlighted by the final pair of starting flights for the $200 No Limit Hold'em ($100,000 GTD). Each of the flights are structured the same: with 30,000 unit starting stacks, (30) minute levels, and registration that is open through Level 8. Play is scheduled to conclude after Level 14, with those that bag, returning on Monday (for Day 2).
Promotions: Almost a week into the month, players are beginning to get familiar with the new promotions, and popular opinion is very positive. As things have every day this month, the room opens (with a 9:00am start on weekends, when open 24 hours) with "Turbo High Hands." The $100 high hands are awarded every (10) minutes...with rollovers!!! The high hands can be made using one or two cards, and even with those rules, we have seen the number get to $1,000 (nine rollovers).
The standard high hand period on Saturday (12:00pm-12:00am) sees $300 awarded every (30) minutes. All jackpot games are eligible for the award, with the qualifying high hands made with one card, receiving a $150 prize. For those players in tournaments, winning high hands are worth $100.
From 12:00am-3:00am, $50 high hands are awarded every (60) minutes.
