Tournaments: The only tournament on today's schedule is Day 2 of the $200 No Limit Hold'em ($100,000 GTD). As mentioed above, (162) players will be returning at 12:00pm, scheduled to play down to a winner. There are no structual changes to make note of, as play will resume in Level 15, with (30) minute levels the rest of the way out.
Promotions: The "Turbo High Hands" were well received in December, and they have found a home in January as well. Beginning at 9:00am (every day of the week), $100 high hands will be awarded every (10) minutes, with rollovers applying. Because of those rollovers, we have seen the 9:00am-12:00pm period award prizes of $400...$700...even $1,000, over the past month.
The standard high hand promotion then takes over, and runs from 12:00pm-12:00am. Qualifying high hands will be awarded $300, given away every (30) minutes (no rollovers). During that period, if the winning high hand is made using one card, a $150 prize will be awarded. For those players playing in a tournament, winning high hands will be paid out $100.
From 12:00am-3:00am, $50 high hands will be awarded every (60) minutes.
