Sunday, February 9th: Eric Piderit Wins Inaugural $400/$40,000 GTD, With Ian Cohen Taking Down $130/$10,000 GTD!!!

ICYMI: At 12:00pm yesterday afternoon, a total of (20) players returned for Day 2 of the $400 No Limit Hold'em ($40,000 GTD).  Just over half of the returning players would reach the money, with all eyes on the $12,900 that was waiting for the scheduled winner.  Even though the levels were (40) minutes in length, the action moved at a pretty swift pace, with the money reached shortly after 3:30pm.  The tournament would continue until play was heads-up, at which point an (almost) even chop was agreed to.  Eric Piderit (Weston, FL) would become the first winner of the $400 No Limit Hold'em ($40,000 GTD), a tournament we expect to see on the next month's tournament calendar.  Official results from the event are listed below:

Lauderdale, FL) made a triumphant return to the winner's circle, with the official results from the tournament posted below:

Tournaments: Today's schedule focuses on the $80 No Limit Hold'em "Sit-N-Go" once again.  These single-table tournaments are paying out two spots, with the first and second place finishers earning $350 (adding an element of "survivor" to the proceedings).  Players that are interested in these "Sit-N-Gos" can put their name on the list (at the brush stand), and once ten names are collected, the tournament will begin.

Promotions: The day's promotions begin at 9:00am, with three hours of "Turbo High Hands," as $100 will be awarded every (10) minutes (rollovers apply).  The promotion runs from 9:00am-12:00pm, and has quickly become popular with the players (as the rollovers have seen some high hands reach the $1,000 mark!!!).

The standard high hand promotion then takes over, and runs from 12:00pm-12:00am.  Qualifying high hands will be awarded $300, given away every (30) minutes (no rollovers).  During that period, if the winning high hand is made using one card, a $150 prize will be awarded.  For those players playing in a tournament, winning high hands will be paid out $100.

From 12:00am-3:00am, $50 high hands will be awarded every (60) minutes.
