Sunday, November 29th: Recapping Saturday's Success, As We Focus On $300 High Hands, And An Afternoon Tournament!

ICYMI: Saturday's $100 No Limit Hold'em ($3,000 GTD) was a great success once again, as the official prize pool more than doubled the posted guarantee.  Registration for the tournament closed with a total of (88) entries, and an official prize pool of $6,600.  The payouts were scheduled to be spread across eleven pay spots, with last night's action playing down to an outright winner.  A lot of familiar names were battling it out at the final table, including Engelberth Valera, Tony Burns, and Brian Dunn (Friday night's winner).  When the dust settled, it was Jonathan Jimenez taking home first place honors, after beating Carlos Torres Vazquez during heads-up play.  Official results from the tournament are listed below:

Tournaments: The weekend of tournaments concludes this afternoon, but not without another incredibly value-packed event.  The $130 No Limit Hold'em tournament gets underway at 3:00pm, and has been very popular over the past few weeks.  The event is structured with 20,000 unit starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and has registration open through Level 8 (and the break that follows).

Promotions: The poker room doors open at 11:00am, with the high hand being awarded every (30) minutes.  The qualifying high hand for each half-hour will be awarded $100, with the promotion transitioning at 2:00pm.  From 2:00pm to 10:00pm, the high hand grows to $300, also awarded every (30) minutes (rollovers do not apply).

3:00pm: $130 No Limit Hold'em

  • Players start with 20,000 in tournament chips
  • Late and re-entries for the first (8) levels
  • Alternates and late entries will start with a full stack
  • Levels will last (20) minutes
