ICYMI: Last night's $250 No Limit Hold'em "Final Table Finish" ($10,000 GTD) showed exactly why this format is special. There aren't many daily (if any) tournaments that offer a first place prize over $7,000, with only have to best a 99-entry field. The tournament closed with exactly that number, and a $20,790 prize pool, which was to be spread across the final table (8-handed). We talk about the incredible returns from this event, but this is the first we've seen the tournament play down to an outright winner. David Lopez best Karin Powsner during heads-up play, to take home the $7,331 win, and almost 35 leaderboard points. Official results from the event are listed below:
- David Lopez (Pembroke Pines, FL) $7,331
- Karin Powsner (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $5,143
- Perla Ojeda (Miami, FL) $2,079
- Garret Rogers (Coral Springs, FL) $1,455
- Rafael Rodriguez (Columbia) $1,455
- Andrew Daire (Boca Raton, FL) $1,247
- David Poces (Boca Raton, FL) $1,040
- Engelberth Varela (Coral Springs, FL) $1,040
Promotions: From 11:00am (the minute the doors open) until 11:00pm, $300 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes. These high hands must be aces-full or better, use both hole cards, and be the winning hand (in a pot that has at least $10). From 11:00pm until close, $100 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes.
