ICYMI: When this past Monday's $250 No Limit Hold'em "Final Table Finish" ($10,000 GTD) had a record-breaking field, it looks like it was just a sign of things to come. First up on the July tournament scheduled, was the $150 No Limit Hold'em "Double Green Chip Bounty" ($5,000 GTD). With just over half of the buy-in going towards the prize pool (one-third goes to bounties), the idea of eclipsing $10,000 seemed to be a stretch. We had seen Thursday events come close to that number, but last night's installment had a prize pool that finally eclipsed the five-figures.
Registration for the event closed with a total of (172) players, and had an official prize pool of $11,180. A total of (22) players would earn a piece of the prize pool, with the evening's action ending in a seven-way deal. Isle Casino Pompano Park tournament veteran Robert Leff took home first place money in the deal, and quickly goes to the top of the monthly leaderboard. Official results from the tournament are listed below:
- Robert Leff (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $1,367
