Sunday, July 4th: Holiday Weekend Expected To Culminate With Another Successful Tournament, "Monster Stack" Gets Underway At 3:00PM

ICYMI: The holiday weekend was bound to provide players with some impressive tournament fields, and for those in last night's $100 No Limit Hold'em ($5,000 GTD), that means healthy payouts.  The $13,875 prize pool was made up of (185) entries, with (24) earning a return on their initial investment.  

We saw familiar names book another Isle Casino Pompano Park tournament score, including Brian Dunn, Andrew Daire, Edgard Mendes, David Inselberg, and Pedro Palacio.  All of those names would fall short of the final table, which concluded in an eight-way deal.  Andrew Blake added another win to his resume, one which already consisted of a major title in this poker room.  Rounding out the top three, were Danilo Parada and Damien Simon, with full results from the tournament listed below:

Tournaments: The action for the $130 No Limit Hold'em "Monster Stack" ($3,000 GTD) gets underway at 3:00pm, with another great crowd expected.  The tournament is structured with 20,000 unit starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and has registration open through Level 8 (and the break that follows).  Results from the event will be posted tomorrow morning, in Monday's blog update.




Promotions: From 10:00am (the minute the doors open) to 11:00pm, $300 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes. These high hands must be aces-full or better, use both hole cards, and be the winning hand (in a pot that has at least $10).  The 11:00pm-Close period will then see $100 high hands awarded every (30) minutes.

3:00pm: $130 No Limit Hold'em "Monster Stack" ($3,000 GTD)
  • Players start with 20,000 in tournament chips
  • Late and re-entries for the first (8) levels
  • Alternates and late entries will start with a full stack
  • Levels will last (20) minutes
