ICYMI: With the month reaching it's halfway point, those in contention for the WSOP $10,000 Main Event seat (as part of the Player of the Month leaderboard) are beginning to sense the enormity of the moment. Another group of eager tournament players made their way to the poker room last night, for the $180 No Limit Hold'em "Double Green Chip Bounty" ($5,000 GTD). Registration for the event closed with (127) entries, and an official prize pool of $11,557 (bounty pool of $6,350). A total of sixteen players were scheduled to reach the money, with the final seven agreeing to a chop. Quang Nguyen (Lauderdale Lakes, FL) took home first place money in the deal ($1,673), with those also involved walking away with at least $873. Tournaments: With the arrival of the weekend, comes the $160 No Limit Hold'em ($5,000 GTD)...the tournament that started this incredible tournament resurgence at the Isle Casino Pompano Park poker room. The cards get in the air at 6:00pm, with players sitting down to starting stacks of 15,000. Levels will last (20) minutes throughout the evening, with registration open through Level 8 (and the break that follows).
Promotions: From 10:00am (the minute the doors open) to 11:00pm, $300 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes. These high hands must be aces-full or better, use both hole cards, and be the winning hand (in a pot that has at least $10). The 11:00pm-Close period will then see $100 high hands awarded every (30) minutes.
- Players start with 15,000 in tournament chips
- Levels will last (20) minutes
- Late and re-entries for the first (8) levels
- Alternates and late entries will start with a full stack
