ICYMI: Those that have been following the tournament action, understand that one solid result can immediately put one in contention for the Player of the Month leaderboard. What better month to run hot, than when the top prize is a $10,000 WSOP Main Event seat! There truly is the opportunity for someone to turn a few buy-ins, into millions of dollars! Tyler Gray had recorded one cash in August, but made his presence known last night, after taking home first place money in the $130 No Limit Hold'em ($5,000 GTD).
The event attracted a total of (143) entries, and had an official prize pool of $14,300. A total of eighteen players were scheduled to cash in the tournament, with action playing down to a four-way chop. Tyler Gray took home $2,519 for the first place finish, and earned 25.19 leaderboard points. The real movement was made by Irwin Block, who took home third place money ($2,022), and used 20.22 points to jump into the first spot!!! Tournaments: It's been a while since we introduced a new tournament at the Isle Casino Pompano Park, but today's the day! At 3:00pm, the cards get in the air for our $400 No Limit Hold'em ($20,000 GTD), an event that is sure to attract some South Florida's best tournament players. The event's structure will see players sitting down to starting stacks of 20,000, and playing (25) minute levels. Registration is open through Level 8, and the short break that follows.
With the way tournaments have been at the Isle Casino Pompano Park, it should come as not surprise, if this event surpasses all expectation. Those looking to get updates on numbers, can follow the action on the Bravo Poker Live app. All results from this afternoon's action will be recapped tomorrow on the blog.
Promotions: From 10:00am (the minute the doors open) until 11:00pm, $300 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes. These high hands must be aces-full or better, use both hole cards, and be the winning hand (in a pot that has at least $10). From 11:00pm until close, $100 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes.
3:00pm: $400 No Limit Hold'em ($20,000 GTD)
- Players start with 20,000 in tournament chips
- Late and re-entries for the first (8) levels
- Alternates and late entries will start with a full stack
- Levels will last (25) minutes
