Friday, October 22nd: Santo Biddix Wins The "Double Green Chip Bounty" Outright, As The Weekend Rolls In!!

ICYMI: Thursday's $180 No Limit Hold'em "Double Green Chip Bounty" ($5,000 GTD) was unlike many of the recurring tournaments on the schedule, as it ended up playing down an outright winner.  So many of the events end in a deal, that it's not often we see things play out organically.  Registration for the tournament closed with a total of (81) entries, which equated to an official prize pool of $7,371 (bounty pool of $4,050).  A total of (11) players were scheduled to reach the money, with Santo Biddix (Hollywood, FL) eventually besting Fidencio Velez (Orlando, FL) during heads-up play.  Official results from the tournament are listed below:
  1. Santo Biddix (Hollywood, FL) $2,377
  2. Fidencio Velez (Orlando, FL) $1,437
  3. Angelo Castaldi (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $894

  8. Lucas Santos (Coconut Creek, FL) $258
  9. Aleph Franzin (Coconut Creek, FL) $238

Tournaments: With the arrival of the weekend, comes the $160 No Limit Hold'em ($5,000 GTD)...the tournament that started this incredible tournament resurgence at the Isle Casino Pompano Park poker room.  The cards get in the air at 6:00pm, with players sitting down to starting stacks of 15,000.  Levels will last (20) minutes throughout the evening, with registration open through Level 8 (and the break that follows).

Promotions:
From 10:00am (the minute the doors open) to 11:00pm, $300 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes. These high hands must be aces-full or better, use both hole cards, and be the winning hand (in a pot that has at least $10).  The 11:00pm-Close period will then see $100 high hands awarded every (30) minutes.

In addition to the high hands, there is a "bonus" promotion in place, which offers $1,000 to the highest hand from the 10:00am-12:00pm time period.  If a player makes a straight flush in the 10:00am-10:30am qualifying period, and that is the best qualifying high hand from 10:00am-12:00pm, they will earn an extra $1,000 (in addition to the $300 they were awarded for the half-hour time period).

  • Players start with 15,000 in tournament chips
