Friday, October 8th: Nghiep Huynh Wins "Double Green Chip Bounty" Outright, Putting Himself In Great Position To Contend For Weekly Leaderboard!

ICYMI: With many players having travelled to Las Vegas (and the WSOP), we are seeing a slight decline in tournament numbers, but that hasn't stopped the guarantees from being surpassed each evening.  Last night's $180 No Limit Hold'em "Double Green Chip Bounty" ($5,000 GTD) attracted a total of (57) entries, which equated to an official prize pool of $5,187 ($2,850 bounty pool).  A total of eight players were scheduled to reach the money, with the action playing down to an outright winner.  Nghiep Juynh bested Scott Wyler during heads-up play, which was worth $1,868 (plus any bounties won), along with 20.53 leaderboard points.  Official results from the tournament are listed below, as well as updated leaderboards:
  1. Nghiệp Huynh (West Palm Beach, FL) $1,868
  2. Scott Wyler (Ocean Ridge, FL) $1,097
  3. Brian Dunn (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $687

Weekly Tournament Leaderboard (October 7th-October 12th)

Tournaments: With the arrival of the weekend, comes the $160 No Limit Hold'em ($5,000 GTD)...the tournament that started this incredible tournament resurgence at the Isle Casino Pompano Park poker room.  The cards get in the air at 6:00pm, with players sitting down to starting stacks of 15,000.  Levels will last (20) minutes throughout the evening, with registration open through Level 8 (and the break that follows).

Promotions:
From 10:00am (the minute the doors open) to 11:00pm, $300 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes. These high hands must be aces-full or better, use both hole cards, and be the winning hand (in a pot that has at least $10).  The 11:00pm-Close period will then see $100 high hands awarded every (30) minutes.

In addition to the high hands, there is a "bonus" promotion in place, which offers $1,000 to the highest hand from the 10:00am-12:00pm time period.  If a player makes a straight flush in the 10:00am-10:30am qualifying period, and that is the best qualifying high hand from 10:00am-12:00pm, they will earn an extra $1,000 (in addition to the $300 they were awarded for the half-hour time period).

6:00pm - $160 No Limit Hold'em ($5,000 GTD)
  • Players start with 15,000 in tournament chips
  • Levels will last (20) minutes
  • Late and re-entries for the first (8) levels
