ICYMI: Saturday's $130 No Limit Hold'em ($5,000 GTD) has always been known as the most "affordable" tournament on the schedule, as it started at a $100 price point. The slight increase in buy-in did not deter the loyal crowd, as evident by last night's numbers. Registration for the tournament closed with (74) entries, which equated to an official prize pool of $7,400. A total of ten players would reach the money, with the night's action playing down to a four-handed final table. A deal was agreed to at that point, with Shamica Lamar taking home first place money ($1,622). Official results from the tournament are listed below, along with an updated Player of the Month leaderboard:
- Shamica Lamar (Wellington, FL) $1,622
- Wayne Brown (Delray Beach, FL) $1,493
- Fernando Vega (Los Angeles, CA) $1,226
- Irwin Block (Pompano Beach, FL) $1,130
- Sharon PIckard (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $463
- William Romano Jr. (Pompano Beach, FL) 4370
- Jonathan Marcu (Boca Raton, FL) $326
- Melanie Hochman (Boynton Beach, FL) $296
- Daniel Chlimper (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $252
- Brian Fey (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $222
Tournaments: At 3:00pm, the cards get in the air for our $400 No Limit Hold'em ($20,000 GTD), an event that is sure to attract some South Florida's best tournament players.
