ICYMI: After a successful introduction of a $10,000 guaranteed prize pool last Tuesday, yesterday's $160 No Limit Hold'em event saw a small decrease in numbers. The registration period closed with a total of (72) entries, which was just short of the number needed (which means there was a small overlay). A total of nine players were scheduled to reach the money, with the evening's action playing down to a three-handed final table. A deal was agreed to at that point, with Roman Ojeda (West Palm Beach, FL) taking home first place money. Official results from the tournament are listed below:
- Roman Ojeda (West Palm Beach, FL) $2,593
- Marvin Young (Miami, FL) $2,517
- Alexander Obed (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $1,690
- Brian Nelli (Palm Beach Gardens, FL) $1,690
- Marc Roth (Plantation, FL) $700
- Robert Leff (Opa-Locka, FL) $600
- David Coughlin (Lighthouse Point, FL) $600
- Markus Petteway (Miami, FL) $300
- Carolyn Mevoah (Pompano Beach, FL) $300
Promotions: From 10:00am (the minute the doors open) until 11:00pm, $300 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes. These high hands must be aces-full or better, use both hole cards, and be the winning hand (in a pot that has at least $10). From 11:00pm until close, $100 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes.
