ICYMI: Thursday's $180 No Limit Hold'em "Mystery Bounty" ($5,000 GTD) is quickly becoming one of the favorite events for players, as evident by the increased field size every week. Last night's tournament saw registration close with a total of (93) entries, which equated to an official prize pool of $8,523. As per the "Mystery Bounty" tournament, each elimination (post-registration) was worth $52, with the "Big Bounties" available for players to scoop up as well. A total of (12) players were scheduled to reach the money, with action playing down to a three-handed final table. The final trio agreed to a chop, which saw Peter Cleven (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) taking home first place money, along with the Player of the Month leaderboard points that come with it. Tournaments: With the arrival of the weekend, comes the $160 No Limit Hold'em ($5,000 GTD)...the tournament that started this incredible tournament resurgence at the Isle Casino Pompano Park poker room. The cards get in the air at 6:00pm, with players sitting down to starting stacks of 15,000. Levels will last (20) minutes throughout the evening, with registration open through Level 8 (and the break that follows).
Promotions: From 9:00am (the minute the doors open) until 11:00pm, $300 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes. These high hands must be aces-full or better, use both hole cards, and be the winning hand (in a pot that has at least $10). From 11:00pm until close, $100 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes.
In addition to the high hands, there is a "bonus" promotion in place, which offers $1,000 to the highest hand from the 9:00am-12:00pm time period. If a player makes a straight flush in the 9:00am-9:30am qualifying period, and that is the best qualifying high hand from 9:00am-12:00pm, they will earn an extra $1,000 (in addition to the $300 they were awarded for the half-hour time period).
