ICYMI: If Saturday's $130 No Limit Hold'em ($5,000 GTD) is a sign of things to come for 2022, then the tournament action at the Isle Casino Pompano Park, is something to look forward to. Registration for last night's event closed with a total of (89) entries, equating to a $8,900 prize pool...which was almost double the posted guarantee. A total of (12) players were scheduled to get paid, with the action playing down to an outright winner. Lucas Santos (Coconut Creek, FL) bested the field, to take home a total of $2,823, along with 28.23 leaderboard points. Tournaments: At 3:00pm, the cards get in the air for our $400 No Limit Hold'em ($20,000 GTD), an event that is sure to attract some South Florida's best tournament players. The event's structure will see players sitting down to starting stacks of 20,000, and playing (25) minute levels. Registration is open through Level 8, and the short break that follows.
With the way tournaments have been at the Isle Casino Pompano Park, it should come as not surprise, if this event surpasses all expectations. Promotions: From 10:00am (the minute the doors open) until 11:00pm, $300 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes. These high hands must be aces-full or better, use both hole cards, and be the winning hand (in a pot that has at least $10). From 11:00pm until close, $100 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes.
3:00pm: $400 No Limit Hold'em ($20,000 GTD)
- Players start with 20,000 in tournament chips
- Late and re-entries for the first (8) levels
- Alternates and late entries will start with a full stack
- Levels will last (25) minutes
