Friday, March 25th: Anderson Patino Looking To Make A Run At The Top Leaderboard Spot, With $1,000 "Kickstarter" Headline Cash Game Action

ICYMI: Thursday's $180 No Limit Hold'em "Double Green Chip Bounty" ($5,000 GTD) provided players with a great opportunity to earn valuable leaderboard points, and try to catch Danilo Parada (who is running away with March's first place prize).  Last night's tournament attracted a total of (45) entries, which equated to an official prize pool of $4,095 (not including the bounty pool).  The top six players were scheduled to reach the money, with action playing down to a heads-up final table.  Anderson Patino and Pedro Palacio then agreed to a chop, with the former taking home first place money.  Official results from the tournament are listed below, along with an updated Player of the Month leaderboard:
  1. Anderson Patino (Miami, FL) $1,442
  2. Pedro Palacio (Coconut Creek, FL) $1,096
  3. Seth Schein (Brooklyn, NY) $573
  4. Santo Biddix (Hollywood, FL) $410
  5. Danilo Parada (Oakland Park, FL) $328
  6. Wayne Brown (Boca Raton, FL) $246

Tournaments: With the arrival of the weekend, comes the $160 No Limit Hold'em ($5,000 GTD)...the tournament that started this incredible tournament resurgence at the Isle Casino Pompano Park poker room.  The cards get in the air at 6:00pm, with players sitting down to starting stacks of 15,000.  Levels will last (20) minutes throughout the evening, with registration open through Level 8 (and the break that follows).

Promotions: From 9:00am (the minute the doors open) until 11:00pm, $300 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes. These high hands must be aces-full or better, use both hole cards, and be the winning hand (in a pot that has at least $10).  From 11:00pm until close, $100 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes.

In addition to the high hands, there is a "bonus" promotion in place, which offers $1,000 to the highest hand from the 9:00am-12:00pm time period.  If a player makes a straight flush in the 9:00am-9:30am qualifying period, and that is the best qualifying high hand from 9:00am-12:00pm, they will earn an extra $1,000 (in addition to the $300 they were awarded for the half-hour time period).

6:00pm - $160 No Limit Hold'em ($5,000 GTD)
  • Players start with 15,000 in tournament chips
  • Levels will last (20) minutes
  • Late and re-entries for the first (8) levels
  • Alternates and late entries will start with a full stack
