Tuesday, April 5th: Gary Fitzgerald Has Meteoric Rise Up The Leaderboard, After Topping Monday's "Final Table Finish"

ICYMI: If someone has plans of winning Player of the Month, Monday's $250 No Limit Hold'em "Final Table Finish" ($20,000 GTD) is usually going to be an integral part to securing the title.  Last night's installment was a great example, as the tournament ended in a deal, but provided the first place winner with 30+ leaderboard points.  Registration for the tournament closed with a total of (105) entries, which equated to an official prize pool of $21,840.  The players that reached the nine-handed final table were guaranteed a return on investment, with the action ending in a four-handed final table.  Official results from the tournament are listed below, along with an updated Player of the Month leaderboard:
  1. Gary Fitzgerald (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $6,384
  2. Courtney Rowe (West Palm Beach, FL) $3,780
  3. Matthew Porter (Boca Raton, FL) $3,140
  4. Joseph Degli (Delray Beach, FL) $3,075
  5. Diomedes Natal (San Juan, Perto Rico) $1,529
  6. Adel Jo (Miami, FL) $1,092
  7. Daniel Cruz (Boca Raton, FL) $1,092

  9. Mark Rakoff (West Palm Beach, FL) $874

Tournaments: The $130 No Limit Hold'em ($5,000 GTD) tournament had a very successful first run, and is now a member of the "recurring" tournament family.  The tournament is structured with 15,000 unit starting stacks, and has (20) minute levels throughout.  Registration is open through Level 8, and closes once the first hand of Level 9 is dealt (there is a short break between the two).

Promotions: From 10:00am (the minute the doors open) until 11:00pm, $300 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes. These high hands must be aces-full or better, use both hole cards, and be the winning hand (in a pot that has at least $10).  From 11:00pm until close, $100 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes.

6:00pm: $130 No Limit Hold'em ($5,000 GTD)
  • Players start with 15,000 in tournament chips
  • Late and re-entries for the first (8) levels
  • Alternates and late entries will start with a full stack
