Friday, May 13th: Ingrid Ortiz Assumes Top Spot On Leaderboard Rankings, After Taking First Place In Thursday's $15,000 GTD!!!

ICYMI: Thursday's $200 No Limit Hold'em ($15,000 GTD) took a week to gain form, but players quickly realized how valuable the double Player of the Month leaderboard points are.  Doing well in this tournament alone, can allow for a player to compete in the month-long race.  Last night's installment attracted a total of (96) entries, which helped the prize pool eclipse the posted guarantee ($19,460).  A total of (12) players were scheduled to reach the money, with action playing down to a heads-up final table (at which point a chop was agreed to).  Ingrid Ortiz took home first place money ($5,503), along with 54.29 leaderboard points, which vaulted her to the top of the rankings.  Official results from the tournament are listed below, in addition to an updated Player of the Month leaderboard:
  1. Ingrid Ortiz (Davie, FL) $5,503
  2. Daniel Miller (Pompano Beach, FL) $4,370

Tournaments: With the arrival of the weekend, comes the $160 No Limit Hold'em ($5,000 GTD)...the tournament that started this incredible tournament resurgence at the Isle Casino Pompano Park poker room.  The cards get in the air at 6:00pm, with players sitting down to starting stacks of 15,000.  Levels will last (20) minutes throughout the evening, with registration open through Level 8 (and the break that follows).

In addition to the high hands, there is a "bonus" promotion in place, which offers $1,000 to the highest hand from the 9:00am-12:00pm time period.  If a player makes a straight flush in the 9:00am-9:30am qualifying period, and that is the best qualifying high hand from 9:00am-12:00pm, they will earn an extra $1,000 (in addition to the $300 they were awarded for the half-hour time period).
