ICYMI: Last night was the first ever running of the $200 No Limit Hold'em ($15,000 GTD), which also offered double Player of the Month leaderboard points (which makes this event a "can't miss" on the tournament schedule). Registration for the tournament closed with a total of (71) entries, and after the optional $100 add-ons were included in the prize pool, players learned they'd be playing for a share of $15,000 (official prize pool). A total of nine players were scheduled to reach the money, with action playing down to a heads-up final table. At that point, the final two players agreed to a chop, with David Albertson (Coral Springs, FL) taking home first place money. The results also vaulted Albertson to the top of the May leaderboard (with the double leaderboard points), along with Dennis Gilman (who was the runner-up, but also earned over 38 points).
Official results from the tournament are listed below, along with an updated Player of the Month leaderboard:
- David Albertson (Coral Springs, FL) $4,198
- Dennis Gilman (Hillsboro Beach, FL) $4,050
- Justin Bogeajis (Boynton Beach, FL) $1,838
- Scott Greenberg (Delray Beach, FL) $1,313
- Nicholas Velentzas (Pompano Beach, FL) $1,013
- Erez Fishman (Boca Raton, FL) $788
- Daniel Alterman (Amsterdam) $675
- Michael Newman (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $600
- Aldring Gomez (Hollywood, FL) $525
Tournaments: With the arrival of the weekend, comes the $160 No Limit Hold'em ($5,000 GTD)...the tournament that started this incredible tournament resurgence at the Isle Casino Pompano Park poker room. The cards get in the air at 6:00pm, with players sitting down to starting stacks of 15,000. Levels will last (20) minutes throughout the evening, with registration open through Level 8 (and the break that follows).
Promotions: From 9:00am (the minute the doors open) until 11:00pm, $300 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes. These high hands must be aces-full or better, use both hole cards, and be the winning hand (in a pot that has at least $10). From 11:00pm until close, $100 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes.
In addition to the high hands, there is a "bonus" promotion in place, which offers $1,000 to the highest hand from the 9:00am-12:00pm time period. If a player makes a straight flush in the 9:00am-9:30am qualifying period, and that is the best qualifying high hand from 9:00am-12:00pm, they will earn an extra $1,000 (in addition to the $300 they were awarded for the half-hour time period).

- Players start with 15,000 in tournament chips
