The event will be structured with 25,000 chip starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and open registration through Level 8 (and the break that follows).  The new format-wrinkle comes into play when discussing payouts, as the tournament will pay out just the final table, regardless of how many entries.  Exact payout percentages are as follows (final tables are now nine-handed):

What is a "last longer" in a poker tournament (following definition provided from a recent web search): Last longer is a side wager between tournament players, on who will be last to get knocked out.  Whoever last the longer wins the wager, and any prizes agreed upon.

It's a pretty common occurrence among familiar faces in the tournament poker world.  The Isle Casino Pompano Park Poker Room is "raising the ante" so to say, as they introduce a "last longer" option for the $600 No Limit Hold'em ($30,000 GTD) on Sunday (June 18th).  Players in the event will have a choice to enter into a Last Longer with other tournament attendees, separate from the $600 tournament buy-in.
Those looking to get updates on numbers, can follow the action on the Bravo Poker Live app.  All results from this afternoon's action will be recapped tomorrow on the blog.

Promotions: From 10:00am (the minute the doors open) until 11:00pm, $300 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes. These high hands must be aces-full or better, use both hole cards, and be the winning hand (in a pot that has at least $10).  From 11:00pm until close, $100 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes.

3:00pm: $600 No Limit Hold'em ($30,000 GTD) OPTIONAL WSOP MAIN EVENT SEAT "LAST LONGER"

Saturday, June 18th: Pedro Palacio Tops Friday's Tournament Action, Putting His Name Into Contention For Player Of The Month

ICYMI: While the larger buy-in tournaments has appeal to a certain player that may not normallyy enter recurring events, it's the price point like last night's $80 No Limit Hold'em ($4,000 GTD), that seem to welcome the widest variety of players (as if feels accessible to everyone).  Yesterday's tournament got underway at 6:00pm, and at registration's close, the tournament clock would show (68) entries.  Once the optional add-ons were included into the prize pool, players learned that they were competing for their share of $4,780.  The final nine were scheduled to reach the money, with action playing down to a three-handed final table.  A chop was then agreed upon, which saw Pedro Palacio (Coconut Creek, FL) take home first place money.  Official results from the tournament are listed below, along with an updated Player of th eMonth leaderboard:

These high hands must be aces-full or better, use both hole cards, and be the winning hand (in a pot that has at least $10).  From 11:00pm until close, $100 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes.

In addition to the high hands, there is a "bonus" promotion in place, which offers $1,000 to the highest hand from the 9:00am-12:00pm time period.  If a player makes a straight flush in the 9:00am-9:30am qualifying period, and that is the best qualifying high hand from 9:00am-12:00pm, they will earn an extra $1,000 (in addition to the $300 they were awarded for the half-hour time period).
