Saturday, July 30th: Friday's Festivities End In Four-Way Chop, With Two Tournaments Remaining To Climb The Leaderboard

ICYMI: With just three tournaments remaining in July, players circled this weekend's tournaments on the calendar, in hopes to increase their standard on the Player of the Month leaderboard.  Friday's $80 NoLimit Hold'em ($4,000 GTD) got underway at 6:00pm, and saw registration close with a total of (95) entries.  Twelve players were scheduled to reach the money, with the evening's action playing down to a four-handed final table (at which point a deal was agreed to).  Nicholas Ricci (Boynton Beach, FL) took home first place honors, with official results listed below, along with an updated Player of the Month leaderboard:
  1. Nicholas Ricci (Boynton Beach, FL) $1,456
  2. Danilo Parada (Oakland Park, FL) $1,174
  3. Mark Brannick (Boca Raton, FL) $1,104
  4. Daniel Rush (Alexandria, VA) $1,019
  5. Clive Gavin (Largo, FL) $405
  6. Nicholas Velentzas (Pompano Beach, FL) $320
  7. Julio Esponda (Margate, FL) $270
  8. David Brainard (Deerfield Beach, FL) $236
  9. Tyler Gray (Bradenton, FL) $214
  10. Vinicius Bra Felipe (Rio, Brazil) $196
  11. Brian Goodman (Flower Mound, TX) $182
  12. Aidan Rush (Alexandria, FL) $169

Tournaments: Saturday's 6:00pm tournament is one of the most popular on the schedule, as it offers an incredibly affordable buy-in, that always sees some great returns.  The $130 No Limit Hold'em ($5,000 GTD) event has consistently crushing the posted guarantee, as the prize pool reaches five-figures on a weekly basis.

The tournament is structured with starting stacks of 15,000 chips, and levels that last (20) minutes throughout the event. Registration is open through Level 8, allowing for almost three hours of play, prior to the window closing for the night.

Promotions: From 9:00am (the minute the doors open) until 11:00pm, $300 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes. These high hands must be aces-full or better, use both hole cards, and be the winning hand (in a pot that has at least $10).  From 11:00pm until close, $100 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes.

In addition to the high hands, there is a "bonus" promotion in place, which offers $1,000 to the highest hand from the 9:00am-12:00pm time period.  If a player makes a straight flush in the 9:00am-9:30am qualifying period, and that is the best qualifying high hand from 9:00am-12:00pm, they will earn an extra $1,000 (in addition to the $300 they were awarded for the half-hour time period).

6:00pm: $130 No Limit Hold'em ($5,000 GTD)
  • Players start with 15,000 in tournament chips
  • Late and re-entries for the first (8) levels
  • Alternates and late entries will start with a full stack
  • Levels will last (20) minutes
