ICYMI: Saturday's tournament action got underway at 6:00pm, with a steady stream of players showing up for the $130 No Limit Hold'em ($5,000 GTD) event. Registration closed after Level 8, at which point the chip leader was determined (that player received $500 just for accomplishing that task). Once cards were back in the air, those remaining learned that six spots were scheduled to earn a piece of the $4,500 prize pool. Action played through the money bubble, and down to a three-handed final table (at which point a deal was agreed to). Amir Baron (Coral Springs, FL) took home first place money, with official results from the event listed below (along with an updated Player of the Month leaderboard):
- Amir Baron (Coral Springs, FL) $1,430
- Ali Ozesen (Boca Raton, FL) $1,162
- David Coven (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $828
- Alan Werner (Delray Beach, FL) $450
- Anderson Patino (Miami, FL) $360
- Andrew Daire (Boca Raton, FL) $270
Tournaments: This afternoon's tournament is getting a little upgrade, as we see the return of a guaranteed prize pool, in addition to the "final table finish" format. The $400 No Limit Hold'em ($50,000 GTD) event gets underway at 2:00pm, and is structured with 30,000 chip starting stacks. Levels will last (30) minutes throughout the entirety of the event, with registration open through Level 10 (and the break that follows). As mentioned, the "final table finish" is in place, meaning that regardless of where the prize pool closes, it will be paid out to only the top nine spots (those that make the final table). There is a $20,000 guaranteed first place prize, which is sure to attract a special crowd (so get there early)!!!
Promotions: From 10:00am (the minute the doors open) until 11:00pm, $300 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes. These high hands must be aces-full or better, use both hole cards, and be the winning hand (in a pot that has at least $10). From 11:00pm until close, $100 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes.
2:00pm: $400 No Limit Hold'em "Final Table Finish" ($50,000 GTD)
- Players start with 30,000 in tournament chips
- Late and re-entries for the first (10) levels
