Wednesday, September 14th: Tuesday's Tournament Ends In Head-Up Chop, Wednesday's Action Headlined By Early Bird High Hands

ICYMI: After consecutive days of larger buy-in events, the $80 No Limit Hold'em ($4,000 GTD) returned to the schedule on Tuesday.  Registration for the event closed with a total of (63) entries, which equated to an official prize pool of $4,385 (scheduled to be paid out across the top eight spots).  It looked like the tournament would play down to an outright winner, but a heads-up deal was agreed to (between David Rauch and Woody Bonarto).  Official results from the event are listed below, along with an updated Player of the Month leaderboard:
  1. David Rauch (Pompano Beach, FL) $1,256
  2. Woody Bonarto (Sunrise, FL) $1,250
  3. Jorge Salgado (Sunrise, FL) $581
  4. John Young (Pompano Beach, FL) $395
  5. Christopher Anastasio (Palo Alto, CA) $307
  6. Mark Brannick (Boca Raton, FL) $241
  7. Nelson Comas (Coral Springs, FL) $197
  8. Daniel Shortley (Lake Worth, FL) $158

Promotions: From 9:00am (the minute the doors open) until 12:00pm, there is a new promotion in June, offering boosted Early Bird High Hands.  The high hand at the top of the hour (:00) will be awarded $599, while the high hands at the bottom of the hour (:30) will be awarded $300.  From 12:00pm until 11:00pm, $300 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes. These high hands must be aces-full or better, use both hole cards, and be the winning hand (in a pot that has at least $10).  From 11:00pm until close, $100 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes.
