Arlene Vazquez (Parkland, FL) is all smiles, and who can blame her, after the recent success she's seen in recurring events here at the Isle Poker Room.

Arlene Vazquez (Parkland, FL) is a player that frequents the events on the monthly recurring tournament schedule, and her results will speak for that.  Vazquez has managed to amass career earnings over $51,000, mostly playing in events with buy-ins no larger than $120.    Of her (61) recorded results on Hendon Mob, (37) of the cashes are of the final table variety, which is extremely impressive (no matter what skill level player one is).  

Arlene has recorded eight straight final table finishes since April (all coming here at the Isle Poker Room), including a win in last week's $120 No Limit Hold'em "Monster Stack."  She has eight tournament wins to her name, and while she's accomplished a lot in these single-day events, Vazquez is still looking for that breakthrough score in a large-field (multi-day) event.  If track record means anything, the likelihood that the eventual highlighting score will come here at the Isle, with Arlene hoping it's this weekend.

Posted below is the official schedule for the 2018 Florida State Poker Championship, which is the tenth anniversary of the prestigious series.  There are (17) primary events over the course of three weeks in July, including four "showcased" events, headed by the $1,500 No Limit Hold'em FSPC Main Event ($500,000 GTD).  The main event is one of the first "post-WSOP" majors, and has grown in popularity (and numbers) each and every year.  

Leading up to the main event, there are three other tournaments which carry six-figure guarantees, starting with Event #1.  The $175 No Limit Hold'em opening event has a $100,000 guaranteed prize pool, and eight opening flights for players to choose from.  Running from July 5th through July 9th, the event is sure to see one of the largest fields of the series.   Just a few days after Event #1's conclusion, Event #4 follows with the series' second six-figure guaranteed prize pool, as the $360 No Limit Hold'em event boasts a $200,000 guarantee.  With six flights running from July 12th through July 15th, the tournament will likely see the second largest prize pool of the series (behind the main event).  The third of four "showcased" events is Event #9, as the $1,100 No Limit Hold'em tournament offers yet another $200,000 guaranteed prize pool.  There are four opening flights that run from July 19th through July 22nd, with players returning on July 23rd for Day 2.

In between those events, there are thirteen other options for players to get their hands on a FSPC trophy, including four bounty events, an Omaha 8B Hi/Lo tournament, a Seniors Championship, and the addition of a six-max format.

Lou Stadler (Miami, FL) is just a few days removed from his second largest tournament cash, final tabling the opening event of the Seminole Hard Rock's Deepstack Poker Series ($14,262).

As the Flight 1A field continues to grow, there are a large group of notables already in the field, including Lou Stadler (Miami, FL).  Stadler, who has involvement with the ever popular "The Poker Society," is coming off the second largest tournament cash of his career.  Lou just went deep in the opening event of the Hard Rock's Deepstack Series ($350 No Limit Hold'em), reaching the final table, before bowing out in sixth place.  The result would see a return of $14,262 for Stadler, which would become his largest score since March of 2016.  His updated tournament earnings are now over $137,000, with almost $90,000 of that number coming in the last three years.

Just a few days ago, the June Tournament Calendar was released to the public, with a buzz surrounding the newest "addition" to the recurring schedule.  Outside of the three showcased tournaments ($175 NLH $100,000 GTD, $200 NLH $100,000 GTD, and $360 NLH $50,000 GTD), there are "added free seats" to FSPC events to certain tournaments.  These "added free seats" are available to anyone playing in the following events:

Almost three weeks after the conclusion of the $175 No Limit Hold'em ($100,000 GTD), the second multi-flight event of the month is now underway.  We are already seeing a strong start to the $200 No Limit Hold'em ($100,000 GTD), as the day started with four tables. This holiday weekend event has eight flights over the next four days, with those successfully bagging chips, returning for Day 2 action on Monday (May 28th).  The tournament is structured with 20,000 unit starting stacks, and levels that last (30) minutes over the course of the event.  Registration for each flight is open through Level 8 (and the break that follows), meaning players have until just before 3:20pm to join the action.  Opening flight action is scheduled to play through the conclusion of Level 16, or until the 10% remaining mark is reached (whichever comes first).  The chip lead bonus is also back in play, as the top stack from each flight will earn a seat into next week's $1,100 No Limit Hold'em Single-Ante ($50,000 GTD).

ICYMI: Wednesday was the last day of the week that would host the recurring schedule, as the month's last multi-flight event begins this afternoon.  The 11:00am time slot hosted a $100 No Limit Hold'em ($2,500 GTD) event, which saw registration close with (34) entries.  That would be just enough to eclipse the posted number, as the official prize pool closed at $2,550.  The posted payouts were altered before the money bubble burst, with players agreeing to a six-way deal, ensuring everyone walked away with at least $263.  Walter Swirsky (Delray Beach, FL) ended up taking home first place money in the deal, which was worth $520.  Full results from the tournament are listed below:

ICYMI: Monday's tournament action saw the same tournament in both the afternoon and evening time slot, as the day was all about the $80 No Limit Hold'em ($2,500 GTD).  The afternoon installment, which got underway at 11:00am, and had a field that would close with a surprisingly large number of entries (49).  The $2,793 prize pool would be spread across seven pay spots, with action playing through the money bubble, and then pausing when three players remained.  A deal was then agreed to, with long time Isle Poker tournament veteran Joseph Mancuso (Deerfield Beach, FL) booking the win.  His first place share of the chop was worth $820, with the rest of the payouts from the event listed below:

Sunday, May 20th: Notables Make Up Saturday's Tournament Chops, As We Put A Bow On The Third Week Of May

ICYMI: Saturday's tournament action kicked off with a $130 No Limit Hold'em "Bounty" event, which boasted a $3,000 guarantee.  After eight levels of open registration, the field would close with (32) entries, and an official prize pool of $2,464 (not including bounties).  Four players were scheduled to reach the money, which action playing through the bubble, and eventually pausing once things were heads up.  Blaine McRae and Francois Gagne, players who are tournament regulars at the Isle Poker Room, agreed to a deal that would wrap up the tournament.  Full results from the afternoon event are listed below:

ICYMI: Thursday's tournament action kicked off with a $150 Limit Omaha 8B Hi/Lo ($2,500 GTD) event, which has clearly become one of the most popular recurring tournaments on the schedule.  The guarantee was surpassed just a few levels into the afternoon, with the field officially closing with (33) entries, and a prize pool of $3,696.  Five players were scheduled to get paid in the event, with the tournament's action pausing once the money bubble had burst.  At that point, the remaining players (who were all familiar with each other) decided on a five-way chop, with Leticia Galinas (Ft. Thursday, May 17th: Hal Klein Ships The "Black Chip Bounty," As The Mixed-Game Action Returns To The Recurring Schedule

ICYMI: Yesterday's tournament schedule started at 10:00am, with a $70 No Limit Hold'em Satellite into the day's headlining event, a $275 No Limit Hold'em "Black Chip Bounty" ($15,000 GTD).  The satellite ended just before play started, with four players awarded seats into the event.  Registration for the bounty tournament opened strong, with over (30) entries in Level 1, with the field continuing to grow at a slow (but steady pace).  After ten levels of open registration, the registration window would officially close, with the tournament clock showing (67) entries total.  The prize pool surpassed the posted guarantee, closing at $15,410, with $8,710 spread across seven pay spots (and $6,700 in bounties up for grabs).  The final table was reached shortly before dinner time, with the play continuing on as scheduled.  There would be no deal-making last night, as Hal Klein ended up besting Jonathan Marcu during heads up play, earning $3,223 for his efforts.  Klein, who primarily focuses on cash games, gets his first cash of 2018 (and brings his career earnings north of $175,000).
