Unable to make the satellite earlier this morning, Philip Consolo (Aventura, FL) bought directly into Day 1A, sitting down at Table 10 moments ago.

From the moment Philip Consolo (Aventura, FL) cashed in his first tournament this year, it was evident that 2018 was going to be a special year for him.  In January, Philip reached the final table of Event #23 during the Lucky Hearts Poker Open, which was a $5,000 No Limit Hold'em tournament.  He'd end up finishing in 5th place for $29,455, which was not only his career best tournament cash, but almost matched some of his prior best year's results.  

Consolo has since recorded eleven results, including two final tables during the Isle Open (October).  His cashes in Event #1 and Event #6 of the series were both 6th place finishes, totaling a combined $17,349.  The three headlining cashes mentioned have made 2018 the most successful year of tournaments for Philip, with $58,234 in earnings.  He just took his seat in Day 1A of this Isle Poker Classic Main Event, hoping to bookend the year with healthy five-figure scores.

The 2018 Isle Poker Classic $1,100 No Limit Hold'em Main Event ($200,000 GTD) has officially begun, with the first hand of the tournament being dealt just a few minutes ago.  The main event of the series is structured with 30,000 unit starting stacks, and (40) minute levels on Day 1 (Levels 1-12), which will transition to (50) minutes on Day 2 (Level 13+).  Registration is open through the entirety of each Day 1, and will stay open until the first Day 2 hand is dealt (Monday at 12:00pm).

We've been building up to the final Isle Poker Main Event of the year, and it's time to begin the journey towards crowning a champion.  

Thursday, December 6th: Isle Poker Classic Schedule Headlined By Opening Flight Of $1,100 Main Event ($200,000 GTD)

ICYMI: Wednesday's tournament schedule started at 11:00am, with Event #4 ($200 No Limit Hold'em "Seniors 50+" of the Isle Poker Classic.  Even without a posted guarantee, the tournament attracted a very impressive field of (84) entries, and an official prize pool of $13,440.  There were numerous Isle Poker notables in the field, (12) of which reached the money in the tournament.  We can't call it a trend just yet, but for the third tournament in a row, action ended in a heads-up chop.  Allan Bieler (West Palm Beach, FL) took first place in the deal, winning his second-ever Isle Poker Classic trophy, and fourth Isle Poker major overall.  Anthony Bennett (West Palm Beach, FL) was awarded second place money in the deal, with the official results from the tournament listed below:

A few hours after the "Seniors 50+" event got underway, action for Event #5 of the Isle Poker Classic ($240 Pot Limit Omaha 8B Hi/Lo) began.  The "specialized" tournament saw registration close with a  field of (21) entries, and a $4,200 prize pool.  Three place were scheduled to get paid, and once the money bubble burst, players agreed to a chop.  The three-way deal saw Matthew Bianchini (Naples, FL) awarded first place money ($1,676), with the official Event #5 results posted below:

Tournaments: Today's marks the beginning of the Isle Poker Classic Main Event, but before things get underway at 2:00pm, there are two tournaments to speak of.  The first, which gets underway at 10:00am, is a $250 No Limit Hold'em Satellite into Event #7 ($1,100 No Limit Hold'em Main Event $200,000 GTD).  The satellite is structured with 15,000 unit starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and registration that is open through Level 8.

An hour later, Event #6 of the Isle Poker Classic gets underway, and is a $250 Limit Omaha 8B Hi/Lo event (with an $8,000 guaranteed Prize pool).  More popular than it's pot limit counterpart that was played yesterday, Event #6 is structured with 15,000 unit starting stacks, (25) minute levels, and registration that is open through Level 8.

The first opening flight of Event #7 (Isle Poker Classic $1,100 No Limit Hold'em Main Event $200,000 GTD) begins at 2:00pm, with three more to follow (over the next three days).  The Main Event is structured with 30,000 unit starting stacks, (40) minute levels (on Day 1, transitioning to 50 on Day 2), and registration that is open through Level 12.  While each of the starting days are scheduled to end at Level 12, registration stays open through 12:00pm on Day 2, closing when the first hand is dealt on Monday.

At 6:00pm, there is another $250 No Limit Hold'em Satellite into Event #7, which mirrors the structure from the 10:00am satellite that runs before it.

Promotions: The high hands will run from 9:00am-12:00am, with the opportunity to win $400 every (30) minutes.  During that period, the promotion sees tournament players eligible each half-hour for $100 high hands, 2/2 limit hold'em players eligible for $200 high hands, 2/4 limit hold'em players eligible for $300 high hands, and all other raked games (1/2-5/10 NLH, 4/8 Omaha 8B, 6/12 O.E., etc.) eligible for $400 high hands.

Wednesday, December 5th: Rodriguez And Albertson Add Isle Poker Classic Titles To Resume, As The Series Rolls On With Two "Specialized" Events

ICYMI: After a very successful opening event, the Isle Poker Classic continued yesterday, with Event #2 ($360 No Limit Hold'em 6-Max $15,000 GTD) and Event #3 ($175 No Limit Hold'em $20,000 GTD).  Event #2 got underway at 2:00pm, and would attract a field of (42) entries, with an official prize pool of $15,000.  Six players were scheduled to reach the money, with first place to take home $5,850 (along with the trophy).  The tournament's action continued through the money bubble, and played down to heads-up action, at which point a deal was made.  Dennis Rodriguez (Sunrise, FL) would be awarded first place money (and the trophy), while David Moreno accepted runner-up honors.  Official results from Event #2 are listed below:

The event is structured with 15,000 unit starting stacks, (30) minute levels, and registration that is open through Level 8.

The final piece of Wednesday's schedule is a $130 No Limit Hold'em Satellite Into Event #7 ($1,100 No Limit Hold'em Main Event $200,000 GTD).  The satellite is structured with 12,000 unit starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and registration that is open through Level 8.

Promotions: Outside of the "standard" high hands, the poker room opens with the "new" Full House Promotion.  The proceedings begin once the doors of the poker room open, with the first (25) full houses made, earning a $40 prize.  Each jackpot eligible cash game is included in the promotion, with two rules to keep in mind, when thinking about winning the $40.  In order to be eligible, the full  house must be made using two cards, and must be the winning hand.

 The day's "standard" high hand period will last from 9:00am-12:00am, with the opportunity to win $400 every (30) minutes.  During that period, the promotion sees tournament players eligible each half-hour for $100 high hands, 2/2 limit hold'em players eligible for $200 high hands, 2/4 limit hold'em players eligible for $300 high hands, and all other raked games (1/2-5/10 NLH, 4/8 Omaha 8B, 6/12 O.E., etc.) eligible for $400 high hands.

Tuesday, December 4th: Willie Wiggins Tops Final Table Chop Of Event #1, As The Isle Poker Classic Rolls On

ICYMI: At 12:00pm yesterday afternoon, (129) players returned for Day 2 of Event #1 ($200 No Limit Hold'em "Monster Stack" $100,000 GTD).  From that number, (94) would reach the money, with all eyes on the healthy final table payouts.  The day's action started slowly, with the stack depth playing a large part in that, as it took two hours to reach the money bubble.  There would be no hand-for-hand play, as Michael Garcell eliminated Marcin Plewinski on the bubble.  From there, the pace picked up, with the field going from (94) to (10) in six hours.  Willie Wiggins (Pembroke Pines, FL) scored a double-knockout to send the tournament to it's final table, which ended up being the final hand of the tournament.  Once players took their seats at the final table, discussions of an ICM chop were brought up, and eventually agreed to.  The official numbers from the deal are listed below, with full results from the tournament to be posted shortly:
