Robert Tanner (Wellington, FL) has over $75,000 in lifetime tournament earnings, headlined by two major wins (WSOP Circuit, and Isle Poker Classic).

As we were heading towards the tournament area moments ago, Garrick Young was spotted heading down the escalator, which was pretty surprising (considering he was one of the top five stacks less than thirty minutes ago).  His elimination brought the field down to (20) players, and caused Table 3 to break, as players from that table found their new seating assignments.  Still racking up his chips at Table 3 was Robert Tanner (Wellington, FL), who knocked out Young, and assumed the chip lead after winning one of the larger pots of the day.

Tanner has had a very successful last two years, beginning with his trophy win during the 2017 Isle Classic.  Robert took first place in a chop of Event #16 ($150 No Limit Hold'em $100,000 GTD), which was worth $14,202.  At the time, that was his career best cash, but he would surpass that number during last year's WSOP Circuit at Coconut Creek.  Tanner won his first ring after taking down Event #4 ($360 No Limit Hold'em "Double Stack Turbo") for $18,810.

Jacobo Mugrabi (Miami, FL) is the only player to have surpassed the century mark in the Flight 1A field, but that's likely to change over the next level or two.

As players prepare to head on their second break of the day (at the end of this level), Jacobo Mugrabi (Miami, FL) has separated himself from the rest of the field.  The only player to have eclipsed the century mark, Jacobo is looking to build on a nice result last month, during the Lucky Hearts Poker Open.  Mugrabi reached the final table of Event #7 ($360 No Limit Hold'em), and ended up finishing in 7th place, for a career best score of $2,714.

Ed Vasconcelos (West Palm Beach, FL) knew there were a number of hands that beat his king-high straight, but wasn't about to surrender, after getting there on the river.

There are few things in poker like drawing to a hand as you head to the river, and hitting one of your outs on the final street.  Then there are the moment that happens, and your opponent shoves all-in against you, making things slightly disconcerting.  That exact situation played out moments ago at Table 1, as two players watched the dealer complete a board of Q♠ J♥ 4♠ 6♣ K♠.  

Not even three seconds passed before the player in the small blind tossed in his remaining 5,600 (which was about a half-pot sized bet).  Ed Vasoncelos (West Palm Beach, FL) didn't seem too happy about making the call, but having made a straight on the river, he was going to make his opponent show a flush (or broadway).  Vasconcelos watched as his adversary tabled Q♣ Q♥, which was one of the "shovable' river hands that Ed could beat.  He tabled his 10♦ 9♠, and scooped up the pot, leaving his opponent talking to himself, as he exited the tournament area.

Trevor Savage has seen his kids become "famous" in the poker world, especially his youngest Andrew, who has played the role of numerous different notable poker players (Doug Polk for example).

For those that just follow this particular blog, or the current affairs of South Florida poker, the name Trevor "@TreMomey" Savage may not ring a bell.  If you are in that select group that doesn't know who he is, use this as "one time" suggestion to check him out.  Savage, who hails from New Jersey, used to frequent the poker room at Parx Casino (in Bensalem, PA).  He actually happened to win the first tournament that I personally covered as a blogger (Event #1 of the 2011 Parx Open Classic, which was a $500 No Limit Hold'em event).  The $18,292 result stands as his seventh largest cash, on a resume that boasts over $484,000 in live earnings.  

Trevor also has a lot of online earnings, which is a platform that has recently given him some incredible opportunities.  Once online poker cam back to the state of New Jersey, Savage put almost all of his focus towards the online grind, and began streaming his play.  Outside of his #NeverFold (cash game) escapades (in which he doesn't fold a hand down unless there is a three-bet in front of him), Savage recently starting his "Raising The Nuts" channel on YouTube.  Originally part of the Vlogger In Paradise contest, Trevor's videos (which feature his three children) became an immediate hit in the poker world.  While he didn't win a Platinum Pass into the PCA Player's Championship, he was invited down as part of the top five in the contest, and was featured (with his family) on PokerNews:

Never shy for the camera, Francklin Michel (Miami, FL) is always happy to get featured during a tournament's coverage on the blog.

"Hey man...get the camera, I'm ready for my photo," is a line we hear from Francklin Michel (Miami, FL) most every time he spots the blogger walking around the tournament floor.  Even if he said it twenty minutes prior, he'll still pull out the same line (or something similar) after a second pass.  There aren't many players that try harder to get featured on the blog than Michel, ever since his first published photo during a $250 No Limit Hold'em ($100,000 GTD) in November of 2017.  Francklin ended up reaching the final table of said tournament, eventually taking home fourth place money, in a five-way deal that wrapped up the event.  The $10,676 result still stands as Michel's largest tournament cash, on a resume that boasts (26) total results.

Of those results, all but two have come here at the Isle Poker Room, one of which occurred just a few weeks ago in Maryland.  Francklin bubbled the final table of a $120 No Limit Hold'em "Triple Stacks" event, which saw him earn $441.

Gili Prizament (Biscayne Bay, FL) saw some success during last month's $140 No Limit Hold'em "Bankroll Builder," and is looking to best her 48th place result.

In the spirit of Valentine's Day, we are going to talk a little bit about love and relationships.  Relationships are all about "firsts," which is why we remember things like first dates, first kiss, etc.  After being with someone for an extended period of time, it's gets harder and harder to experience "firsts," but they do come along.  After years of dating fellow poker aficionado Damien Simon (Hialeah, FL), Gili Prizament (Biscayne Bay, FL) got engaged last March, meaning she is experiencing her first Valentine's Day as an engaged couple.  

That obviously a special moment in a relationship, and probably calls for an evening together...which is likely why Gili is in this afternoon's field (allowing her to keep the night clear for any plans).  Prizament was last featured during the "Bankroll Builder" in January, a tournament she ended up cashing in 48th place ($330).  The result happens to be Gili's last recorded cash, as she sets out on a course to best her career headlining result of $2,329.

February 14th is a day that people circle on their calendars each and every year, but this time around, it wasn't just because of Valentine's Day.  Today marks the beginning of the month's second $50,000 guaranteed multi-flight tournament, which has a $150 buy-in.  February's first multi came back on the first day of the month, with the $360 No Limit Hold'em ($50,000 GTD) event eclipsing the posted guarantee, after attracting a total of (182) entries in two flights.  Zachary Mullennix ended up winning the tournament outright, after besting Gary Fitzgerald during heads-up play.  The result was Zachary's first tournament win (outright), and happened to be the start of something special, as Mullennix won his first ever WSOP Circuit ring just a few days ago.

Outside of the buy-in amount, and number of starting flights, this week's event is very similar to the one that started the month.  Players in this $150 No Limit Hold'em ($50,000 GTD) tournament will be sitting down to starting stacks of 20,000 units, with (30) minute levels, and registration that is open through Level 8.  Play is scheduled to conclude after Level 16, or if the 10% mark is reached...whichever happens to occur first.  Those players that bag chips for Day 2, will return on Monday (February 18th) at 12:00pm, to battle it out for the title.

ICYMI: Wednesday's tournament schedule began with the $130 No Limit Hold'em "Survivor," which ran without it's usual $3,000 guarantee.  That didn't deter players from showing strong, as the field closed with (35) entries, and a prize pool of $3,500.  The posted payouts were scheduled to see three players walk way with $1,000, and a fourth place earning $500.  Those numbers were altered though, as the tournament ended in an ICM chop, with the official results listed below:

Tournaments: The wait is finally over, as the $150 No Limit Hold'em ($50,000 GTD) is upon us.  The tournament begins today, with the first pair of flights on the schedule, as well as a satellite for the event.  The action begins at 11:00am, with Flight 1A of the $150 No Limit Hold'em ($50,000 GTD), which is the first of eight total flights.  The structure for the flight sees players sitting down to starting stacks of 20,000 units, playing levels that last (30) minutes, and registration that is open through Level 8.

At 3:00pm, players can choose to take lesser expensive routes into the weekend's event, with a $40 No Limit Hold'em Satellite, guaranteeing five seats into the $150 No Limit Hold'em ($50,000 GTD).  The satellite is structured with 10,000 unit starting stacks, (15) minute levels, and registration that is open through Level 8.

The second flight (Flight 1B) then gets underway at 6:00pm, carrying the same structure as the afternoon flight before it (20,000 unit starting stacks, (30) minute levels, and registration through Level 8).

Promotions: The high hands will run from 9:00am-12:00am, with the opportunity to win $400 every (30) minutes.  During that period, the promotion sees tournament players eligible each half-hour for $100 high hands, 2/2 limit hold'em players eligible for $200 high hands, 2/4 limit hold'em players eligible for $300 high hands, and all other raked games (1/2-5/10 NLH, 4/8 Omaha 8B, 6/12 O.E., etc.) eligible for $400 high hands.

Wednesday, February 13th: The Day's Schedule Highlighted By Full House Promo, And Staple Recurring Slate

ICYMI: Yesterday's recurring schedule was supposed to host two mixed-game events, but only one of them ended up getting off the ground.  That tournament was the afternoon $150 Limit Omaha 8B, which had a $2,500 guaranteed prize pool.  After eight levels of registration, the event closed with (38) entries, and an official prize pool of $4,256.  As has been common in these Omaha 8B events, the action ended in a deal, with the official results posted below:

Following the "Survivor" (at 6:00pm) is an $80 No Limit Hold'em event, which boasts a $1,500 guaranteed prize pool.  The tournament is structured with 12,000 unit starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and registration that is open through Level 8.  At the end of registration, players have the opportunity to add-on to their stacks, choosing between a single ($20) or double (40) add-on.

Promotions: Outside of the "standard" high hands, the poker opens with the Full House Promotion.  The proceedings begin once the doors of the poker room open, with the first (25) full houses made, earning a $40 prize.  Each jackpot eligible cash game is included in the promotion, with two rules to keep in mind, when thinking about winning the $40.  In order to be eligible, the full house must be made using two cards, and must be the winning hand.

ICYMI: Monday's tournament action kicked off (at 11:00am) with a $130 No Limit Hold'em event, which ran without a posted guarantee.  That didn't seem to deter players from showing up, as the field closed with (23) entries, and an official prize pool of $2,231.  When the payouts were posted on the tournament clock, those remaining learned that three spots were scheduled to get paid.  When action was on the double bubble, talks of a deal began, and were eventually agreed to by the remaining players.  Arlene Vazquez (Parkland, FL) was awarded first place money ($720), with full results listed below:=

Tournaments: The day starts at 11:00am, with the $150 Omaha 8B Hi/Lo event, which has a $2,500 guarantee.  The tournament is structured with starting stacks of 15,000 units, (20) minute levels, and registration that is open through Level 8.

Following the Omaha 8B event (at 6:00pm), we have the return of the $100 H.O.R.S.E. tournament.  The structure sees players sitting down to starting stacks of 12,000 units, (20) minute levels, and registration that is open through Level 8.

Promotions: Outside of the "standard" high hands, the poker opens with the "new" Full House Promotion.  The proceedings begin once the doors of the poker room open, with the first (25) full houses made, earning a $40 prize.  Each jackpot eligible cash game is included in the promotion, with two rules to keep in mind, when thinking about winning the $40.  In order to be eligible, the full  house must be made using two cards, and must be the winning hand.

 The day's "standard" high hand period will last from 9:00am-12:00am, with the opportunity to win $400 every (30) minutes.  During that period, the promotion sees tournament players eligible each half-hour for $100 high hands, 2/2 limit hold'em players eligible for $200 high hands, 2/4 limit hold'em players eligible for $300 high hands, and all other raked games (1/2-5/10 NLH, 4/8 Omaha 8B, 6/12 O.E., etc.) eligible for $400 high hands.  

It should also be noted that players are able to win the high hand using only one card in their hand.  The payouts for those that use one card are different than the standard numbers listed above, and can be found (full listing of one-card payouts on flyers in the poker room).

From 12:00am-3:00am, the high hand will be awarded $100 every (60) minutes.

Monday, February 11th: After A Successful Tournament Weekend, We Return To A "Shortened" Recurring Schedule For The Week

ICYMI: Sunday's afternoon tournament kick off the day's action at 11:00am ($80 No Limit Hold'em $2,000 GTD), and saw registration close with an impressive field.  A total of (32) entries showed on the clock after Level 8, and once the optional add-ons were included into the prize pool, it would officially close at $2,180.  Four places were scheduled to get paid, but players agreed to a six-way chop prior to the money bubble, with official results from the tournament posted below:

The evening time slot (6:00pm) hosts a $90 No Limit Hold'em event, which boasts a $1,500 guaranteed prize pool.  The tournament is structured with 15,000 unit starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and registration that is open through Level 8.  Prior to being dealt their first hand, players have the option to get an add-on (for $10).

Sunday, February 10th: As The Week Ends, February's Second $50,000 GTD Mutli Around The Corner

ICYMI: Saturday's tournament schedule kicked off (at 11:00am) with the $130 No Limit Hold'em "Seniors 50+."  The event ended up attracting a total of (21) entries, which equated to a prize pool of $2,037.  Three spots were scheduled to reach the money, with a deal agreed to, right after the money bubble burst.  Official results of the afternoon tournament are listed below:
